David Rocastle Day

We all know that on March 31st Arsenal play at QPR in the Premiership in what is a rare 3pm saturday game.
We also know that on that day it will be the 11th yes 11th anniversary of our much loved and missed LEGEND David 'Rocky' Rocastle's passing.
You may know that a banner has been designed to commemorate this date and it is currently on route from the USA thanks to a passionate Rocky fan who designed the flag.

Its a day i will always remember as sad as it can be in football. So i am more than happy and proud to say i will be there to celebrate this lovely gentleman.

However, just to add, Queens Park Rangers Football Club are a bunch of mugs. I cannot for the life of me believe that the pee ant School entrance is costing Gooners £50 to sit in an uncovered dump of a ground. I know some of you will think i am moaning too much and would love the ticket for the above reasons alone, but seriously £50 for QPR is a joke....that is one more blinking blow to me wallet.

Anyone else here firstly attending, and secondly do you feel the price is a tad over the top?

That's why I hope Wigan stay up, cheapest tickets to watch the Arsenal away.

Until fans start boycotting games that our charging £50 a ticket clubs like QPR will charge them,didnt Fulham do the same?.Sometimes fans are there own worse enemy

All this talk of boycotting games is good but football is like an addiction you could double the current prices and people would still find a way of going and this is why they have us by the balls and they know it

i am attending the match as i have not missed a game all season and am not about to start now, (mabee if it was a midweek game i might of thought otherwise)

i also want wigan to stay up due to only payin £25 a ticket not £55,

I guess what I'm asking is: are the away fans being exploited? or are QPR fans paying through the nose as well?

I do remember many QPR fans were spitting feathers at the new ticket prices they were being asked to pay now that they're promoted.

For Cat A games, going by their website it looks like they pay between £70 and £40(which must be for the severely restricted view ones).

The Daily Mail website says some tickets are 106% increase from last year

as far as i am aware, away fans can only be charged the same ammount as home fans do, plus upto 10% which i believe is a admin fee.

when will we put away fans in the upper tier and charge them expensive prices and free up cheaper seats for regular home fans

So it's that time of year and the countdown to our beloved Rocky's sad passing.

QPR away I think is an ideal fixture, little ground, loads of noise and of course the song we all love to sing.

It will be nice to see a few of you guys as well.

I'm going to this one. £50 is just about bearable when you take into consideration it is essentially a london derby. There was talk earlier in the season it was going to be closer to £75 which would have been a no go for me.

I agree with the above though, £50 for that dump of a ground is a bit of a joke, but as long as people pay it, they'll keep charging it.

QPR raised season ticket prices about 40% like a week after they got promotion, if I recall.

F' em. Hope they get relegated. Greedy. Don't gouge your fans for singing, bleeding and cheering for a team to the highest possible level.

More importantly, Rocky Rocastle is an Arsenal legend who will be remembered for his great contributions to the club. I think his "anniversary" (for lack of a better term) will be even more poignant considering the recent events with Fabrice Muamba. Both are sad tales that remind us that life is to be enjoyed to the fullest, while we have it.
