Chelsea through. Better for us?

Post by FromCorkLike »

Chelsea scraped through which means another couple of games for them at least. Lots of tired looking legs there tonight.

Would have liked them out of course, but they'll get dicked by Barca or Madrid soon enough so I guess it doesn't really matter...

good thing....

as long as they dont win. Now they shouldn't win, they are totally inferior to bayern, milan, barca and real, but what if they get a succession of lucky draws :? barca and real get paired together??. The first European Cup winners from London must be the arsenal!!!

we'll be waiting a while though!! hopefully before 2019!!

I was hoping for an 'Iniesta-esque' final minute Napoli winner. Either way, they're through now and should be good for us as we push on for third.

Yes, I think it's better for us, although I wanted them out (couldn't believe my eyes when I read Jack Wilshere's tweet ). I don't think they have a big chance of winning the tournament, so it doesn't really matters they're through.

They are not going to win it so maybe it's good they have two more games.Hopefully demoralising defeats. The media will probably compare their victory with our defeat. Player-Manager John Terry took himself off, but his two assistants played the 120 minutes.

It was their older players who did well but Inuries and tiredness will play a part. Yes they won but come on how on this planet will they be able to beat Barcelona or Madrid.
Unless you win it then in the bigger picture it doesnt really matter.
I mean losing the final against Barcelona was still a loss so that game although special doesnt really hang in the mind too much.

No chance that they will win it so let them have a few extra games in cl. Add the semis in fa cup as they are sure to beat Leicester. The not so easy run in to premier league and that equals a huge benefit to us. old men and to many games, :barscarf:

Wenger must be happy it means that we'll get a full compliement of 4 teams in the C.L. for next season's qualification... I just can't imagine him saying ''finishing 3rd is just like winning a trophy'' it doesn't have the same ring about it.
