Park to stay?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Park to stay?

Post by TeeCee »

His national service has been put back ten years, it's being reported, so he could still be here next season! Maybe first choice when RVP goes??

I would expect him to be sold along with Chamakh. Personally, If Wenger stays and we stay with this formation, I would expect to see Podolski be 2nd choice for RVP and perhaps a youth player elevated for 3rd choice.

If we indeed end up getting Podolski he should not be second choice to RVP but should be replacinng Gervinho/Walcott in the front 3.

I'd agree with replacing in the front 3, but if RVP gets injured we need someone 2nd choice - for me, I'd think that Podolski will be it. We aren't going to sign another striker - that is guaranteed.

I'd like him sold too. I'd rather have Podolski as 2nd choice, coming from the left to replace van Persie here and there and having Afobe as 3rd choice.

Cant even mock this news or even slate park as a footballer cos havent seen f**k all of the guy play. In fact, cos of the way in which wenger is "using" him this doesnt even class as a relevent news story

Agree with augie. It's difficult to make a proper judgment on Park because we just haven't seen enough of him - which in of itself might be saying something!! :rubchin:

I did catch some highlights of the recent reserve match against WBA and to be fair, he did okay - scoring one and assisting for another goal and also setting up other chances (playing from what seemed to be a position out on the right!! :? :?). The other thing I noted from watching that game was that Chamack is as awful for the 2nd team as he has been for the first!! :banghead: :banghead:

Sell them both, and get them off the wage bill. Along with a few other 'first-team' players.

Yeah Podolski will come to Arsenal as understudy to RVP dream on.He is either coming to replace RVP or not at all

Swap Walcott for Sturridge :barscarf: we need a striker they need a sprinter to play on the wing

Yeah thats true everyone thinks we have Podolski already but Wenger has denied any deal has been done. Podolski might come to AFC but only if RVP goes
