going to be a tough one, Everton are pretty decent at home but can be beaten - and don't score that many

Crucial game given that the Chavs could and should drop points

Open up a six point gap on them and the Russian will want to sack Di Matteo next :D

looking forward to going up to this one. Its been a long time since our last game. For some reason Goodison reminds me of Highbury. Anyway 1-3 score with maybe Arteta getting one. :barscarf:

The gap between this game and the Newcastle one has felt like 5 weeks!!!! Cant wait for us to be playing again. A win tonight and sp*rs lose and we go 2 points clear :barscarf:

Come on you Gunners!!!!

we win and Cheslea lose, and the gap between us and a UEFA Cup place is 6pts :barscarf:

(or course, there's other permutations that we'll ignore for now :| )

Going against my previous post, I can see us thumping Everton tonight. 5-1.

As a club I have a lot of respect for everton and moyes has done very well there given his lack of financial resources.
I agree with jamjc64 that goodison is very much like highbury in that small tight knit old fashioned english ground and when their fans are behind them they can make it a hard ground to win in. I am expecting a hard earned 1-1 draw

No excuses for us not to play at a high-tempo tonight. If we can keep possession well and move it quickly Everton might not have the legs to chase shadows all night. For that reason (among others) I really hope Wenger doesn't pick Headuardo ahead of Chamberlain tonight, but I've got a feeling he might. :(

Not to get all championship manager but Walcott's pace should stop Baines bombing forward and I cant see Nevilletwunt Jr or Hibbert being able to handle pace on the other side either so Coleman/Osman may have to spend a lot of time tracking back to double-up on the right. Famous last words but I cant see how they should be able to open us up that easily tonight. Can see them getting at least one from either a Cahill/Jelavic header or a long-ranger from someone like Drenthe or Gibson though, so better just hope we score 1st and force them to open up a bit before that happens.

The important thing is to give ourselves a chance of overtaking the Spuds when they play Chelsea at the weekend.

Stoke are close to pathetic away from home, even more so coming on the back of an FA Cup quarter final defeat late on Sunday and I expect a routine 3 points from that lot up the road. So we need to get at least a point at Everton where we have had some of our best away performances, but also some of our most abject.

Everton have got a cup replay coming up and played a hard game against the Mackems at the weekend, so if we play that pressing game that has served us well over the past few games, I'm hoping the extra rest will have done us good.

I just really hope that those lacklustre away performances against the likes of Fulham really have been put to bed now. We're always one game away from a mini-crisis given how we screwed up the first half of the season
