Because Ramsey is Wenger's golden boy, I honestly hope he picks up a minor injury, as I've said before, I have yet to see him have a really good game in an Arsenal shirt. And this meddling with a winning formula, could see us slip up agaln and next time there will be no time to recover.DB10GOONER wrote:Fantastic night for football and humanity. Why is Arsene now deciding to f*ck with a winning formula? Why move Rosicky back out wide when he has looked different class in the centre? And why in the name of God do it to accomodate the massively out of form Ramsey? Just when things look up for a change, good old Mr KnowsBest decides to f*ck around with it.

Good performance overall. Think defence are answering a few questions now. Maybe something got to do with having a settled back-four for first time this season. We did get lucky with the Drenthe goal, but remember when in January when we were losing three in a row the massive penalty decisions at Fulham and Swansea went against us. There also seems to be a togetherness witrh the players and fans .
Also I think for a change we took advantage of other results.

I love that line...coming from them?? Was there a single team anywhere in the country that enjoyed more luck than them in the first half of the season? All those tough cup draws against the likes of Cheltenham, Watford and Stevenage when they could rest everyone, when the Manchester clubs were drawing each other, then united got Liverpool, and we were getting the likes of Sunderland away.mcdowell42 wrote:more from glory glory
Well at the moment boys and girls we're in 4th and arsenal stand proudly in 3rd
On evertons goal disallowed
It's unbelievable. How much more luck can they get.. They'll win the league as this rate.
Perhaps the players started reading the "Let's laugh at Arsenal" thread?
Season is over.
4 games ago we were in the title hunt, now we are going to be a point behind le scum and only 2 in front of Chelshit with them to play on Saturday.
The football gods hate us!!
PS.
Why do they call their fanzine GLORY GLORY surely thts in breach of the trade description act
How can we bottle it this bad? the people that contributed to the "Lets laugh at arsenal" thread must be embarrassed beyond belief now.
I seem to recall a blatant handball for Van der Vaart's goal at the Lane too somewhere along the line...

Re: Everton match thread
The media coverage of the match was an absolute disgrace. The foul on Rosicky inside the box was the most blatant penalty I've seen this season. Add to that the consistent fouling by Pienaar that should have resulted in a red card by the 45th minute or so, coupled with Sagna being booked for virtually nothing and the tendency to give Everton freekicks when Song sneezed resulted in match officials that were very much against us.
There was no mention of this on MotD, or in any of the newspapers I have read this morning. The penalty incident was joint second for important moments of the match, after the goal and tied with their offside goal.
Atmosphere was great by the way, showed the scouse scum what true support is like.

I don't believe in luck anyway. Spurs are just terrible at the moment, for a variety of reasons.

Watching Match of the Day last night I thought Gary Lineker was going to cry when they showed the league table and Hansen was not much better with his announcement that "Spurs deserve to finish in the Champions League placings" - like the season should just be frozen at the end of February, and the form from then till May doesn't matter. Actually, that's not a bad idea - we might have a couple more titles under our beltsRosicky's Right Boot wrote:The media coverage of the match was an absolute disgrace. Spurs had a straight forward home game against a knackered Stoke City to negotiate and fucked it up...end of. Their performance was the kind of drudge we were serving up earlier in the season - Wolves at home a case in point. Funny how there is universal sympathy for loveable old 'Arry when its happening to that shower, but when it happens to us its deep rooted analysis of everything that's wrong with the club by Hansen and co. I didn't see them replaying Jerome's goal from 15 camera angles and Hansen highlighting all their defensive weaknesses.
Fuck 'em. Chelsea and Spurs should hang their bloody heads in shame that they find themselves languishing behind what is still our weakest team under Wenger's reign

How can one man put in to words exactly what I'm feeling so well? That is precisely - word for word - how I feel. I don't know how you do it. DB10. Just watched highlights on motd (recorded on sky +) and I see song was his usual shite self - in the 1st half when osman headed just wide he had ran off song who just stood there on the edge of our area without moving and of course it was another of his lazy misplaced passes that set them up for their disallowed goal
Of course according to some he is still a quality DM eh

Excellent win. Would've loved to have seen Kos' 70 yard run box-to-box with the ball (along with blatant TR7 pen) on the highlights but hey ho I saw it all on an iffy stream. On the radio, it seems Lawrenson severely criticised the terrible "weak" Ref who was spotted signing autographs before kick off. Good game to try and give Ramsey a bit of confidence - though he remains worryingly indecisive with the ball and clearly needs shooting practice - but I expect to see Ox back on Saturday with Tomas returning to his best position. Away support superb as ever...

hardly say that everton away, one of our toughest fixtures, was a good game to try and give ramsey confidence, it nearly cost us. the time and place to give a player confidence is in any 'easy' home fixture against releagation fodder.

Do they say they will give you a chip roll and instead give you a cone of chips and a soggy hamburger roll at the bottom? Because they do that at the Gunners Fish Bar nowadaysHashKads wrote:I've used that place before too. Get on the A580 into Liverpool and you'll see the Walton Sports Centre. I've parked there a few times. It's a 10-15 min walk to the ground but well worth it after the game cos you get away really quickly and avoids the traffic queues. They do charge but it's very reasonable but get there fairly early.
