VILLA GAME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Really looking forward to this game. My first trip to the Grove for bloody ages. :barscarf:

I'd be happy with a 1-0. But expect us to better than that.

Cant see anything other than an Arsenal win tomoro - without darren bent I dont see how they can trouble our defence and expect rvp to bag at least 1 goal :barscarf:

Confidence (not mine of course) is a great thing and I believe that our players are now full of confidence borne from knowing that their performances have improved and that they are beginning to get some lucky breaks that they were being denied in the past. I dont feel that they are absolutely on fire at the mo cos we dont seem capable of blowing any team away but we are winning and for now that will suffice. I also feel that games against teams like villa, who have nothing really to play for, are easier at this time of the season especially when you sense a lack of unity and confidence with their manager. Lastly darren bent is a huge loss for them - he is a player that I feel would bring so much to our game if he was alongside rvp but alas it will not happen

+1. It'll be nice to go over there today feeling confident about winning for once. We ain't perfect by any means but better than we were. It'll probably be my last one of the season so I will enjoy it even though I'm still nursing a broken rib sustained by over celebrating RVP's equaliser against the filth 4 weeks ago!!

I wonder what odds I can get on Villa going a whole ten minutes without singing

"Ave yow won the European Cup?"

There's a fire in Stoke Newington that is going to disrupt traffic.

Hate to be the resident Augie, but I actually reckon this will be a draw. Either 0-0 or 1-1. They're coming without Bent, so I can see them parking the bus. That said - if we can nick an early goal, you'd hope we'd be alright.
