Denilson

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

he played real football until he was 27, mate. he had at least three or four years to keep on being not a good one, but the best footballer on the planet, his technique and drive were something out of this world. he had a good career, but he could've been there with the greats, he didn't because he was too lazy and not determined enough.

c'mon, if you're a footballer like him, you can play football until you're 33 and then spend the rest of your life whoring around, there's no reason to do that while you're at the top of your career
Thats true

Every Sao Paulo supporter I know rates him very lowly. He's been playing CB for the beginning of the state chapionship and complained about that publicly which generated a bit of fuzz, but after that he gave the speech bg talked about and things cooled down.

All their CB's got injuried so he was elected for the task, their manager must have thought that since Gilberto Silva has moved to CB, any other Arsenal DM can easily do so.

Not well, I mean, lots of sideway passes and sloppy marking, pretty much what he was at Arsenal, only here, as the footballing level and pace is quite lower, his shiteness is better hidden.

How can his drive be something out of this world if he's lazy and not determined? I don't understand. :?
