It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Funny how it's all "January counts for nothing" from the AKBs now. Funny because when we were looking half decent last January it was all "WE ARE IN FOUR COMPETITIONS" and "Arsene has proven his critics wrong"....

That part is spot on and there is more than a whiff of hypocrisy in putting forward that argument because it suits them this time around.

Very fitting that you chose to name yourself Kiwomya. You display as much accuracy and precision in your posts as the great ex forward did in front of goal.
Sorry pal, are we approaching the last game of the season then? Not sure what's not accurate in what I said.
Are the first 37 games of the season irrelevant then?

Are the first 20 games irrelevant?
Clearly not.

Yeah let's wipe out the first half of the season and pretend the results that have kept us sitting behind Spurs all season didn't really happen.

It means very little in January.

Man City are also likely to finish outside the top 4. We're in January, it all means very little.

No one said anything about pretending or about Man City - I only said the league hasn't fucking ended yet!

Even having some sort of hope on this forum is shot down.

Apparently, in January it means "very little" when:

1. You're sixth in the league
2. You lost 8-2 at OT
3. You had your worst start to a season in over 58 years
4. You conceded 4 at Blackburn (and lost)
5. You get beat by Spuds playing in second gear
6. Your piss poor squad is already stretched to the limit
7. You cannot beat Wolves at home
8. You cannot beat Fulham at home
9. You get beat at Fulham
10. You have just one quality attacking player in your whole squad, who is overplayed and on the verge of injury through fatigue.
11. Your manager confirms he will be doing nothing to rectify his fuck ups
12. You have the worst away defensive record in the league after Steve Kean

Your desperate and pathetic excuses get more comical by the day. You've just outdone your master Wenger! Yeah let's ignore Spuds, in fact let's ignore all the top teams and just focus on scraping 1 goal wins or draws against the likes of QPR and Fulham...and just see where we end up come May!!!

Funny how it's all "January counts for nothing" from the AKBs now. Funny because when we were looking half decent last January it was all "WE ARE IN FOUR COMPETITIONS" and "Arsene has proven his critics wrong".

Back to the Muppet show for you. Give it up mini-me Wenger it's just embarrassing now...

Babatunde

I totally agree with everything you have said and pretty much always do.

Those fans who say 'oh it will all be alright' are mis-guided. The club cannot continue to sleep walk and let the grass grow under its feet. If we continue to snooze, we continue to lose.

As for the wages issue, it is shameful that crap like Eastmond and all the other rubbish like Vela, either out on loan and never going to play for us or sitting in the stiffs, are picking up wages from our club, subsised loan deals or not.

Wenger out and lets see the club grow some!

Like I said, half way through the season.
... and....
You mentioned teams flying by us. In January it's mean very little while theres still 18 league games still to play.

Obviously some people has never study history before and they are those die hard wenger fans who will defend him to death even if he win fuck all in the end. I would like to know what kind of brain wash potion do they drink. Is it on sale on arsenal.com or some secret website?

Once everyone has finished jizzing in their undies because Thierry scores against Championship Leeds...those interested in Facts will note that Spuds are now joint second in the league. That's 2nd.

Spuds have won more games, Spuds have scored more goals and they have also conceded less goals. Oh and they have more points. Oh and their wage bill is over 35% lower than Arsenal's!

So despite Gazidis and the AKB muppets going on about "self sustainability", Daniel Levy and Spuds are running a superior football team on far less resources. Oh and their fans pay less money, to watch better players. Oh and their manager earns less than half of what our clown does. Oh and they spent just £5 mil this summer on players, not £50mil.

Still. I'll look forward to Kiwomya, MacDowell and the deluded Amish sheep brigade to tell us how "our quality will shine through".

personally I think Sperz will come 3rd and us 4th (done the BBC predictor a few times)
I just made over £100 cashing out some of my Arsenal top 4/top 3 bets
and still stand to make a fair whack if we do it (either)

wonder if some on here want to apologise to Kiwomya for the ridiculous sustained abuse he suffered for suggesting 50% into a season was a little early for finality...

(the real Kiwomya started 3 and scored 3 BTW... decent stats)

By their Own admission this is the best side Tottingham have had in 15 Years
This is without doubt the worst Arsenal side in that period !

I look forward to St Totterings day celebrations as usual !
