Get used to Red and a load more of his chums. Pravda rules!
That sort of comment is far more ridiculous than anything I have said on here.
what is this about realists anyway? realists are people who see the reality of a situation like for example that Wenger is here for another 2 years at least. The so called realists on here are actually more deluded because they have been trying to come up with alternative managers which quite frankly is a pointless exercise.

frank - I bumped one of your threads from 2 months back yesterday. In it you said you wanted Harry Redknapp in charge. Now that sort of comment is what you would expect from a WUM on an Arsenal forum, instead I am considered a joke just because I am defending a team which is doing well. All very confusing.
Red, have a lie down and a cup of tea.

Realists see the present situation for what it is. A complete joke of a season, caused by squad mis-management at the outset. Pleb Member and the rest of the AKB see 3rd as success because you can't step back and see the bigger picture. Of course 3rd is success from the dross we saw at the start of the season, but who caused that mess?????

Arsenal have a wage bill that demands success. However we have a manager who has repeatedly moved the goalposts over the last few seasons, from challenging for the title, to top 2, to top 3 and now top 4. In regards to Redknapp, what has changed? Pound for pound he is still a better Manager, even having lost 3 out of the last 5. We are 3 points clear of Spurs with a wage bill 40% higher!!! And Redknapp is on half of the money that the Messiah is on. By the way, we haven't even finished third yet!!!?? We have a load of tough games, and it wouldn't surprise me if we finished behind Spurs anyway. But if we finish 3rd, that just proves what a numpty you are, to call it success. Little things, please little minds.

Ok Frank, fair enough I respect your opinions even though I dont agree with them

I have never said though that 3rd place is a success although I am pleased we are in that position now.
I always thought we would finish in the top 4 anyway so it is no great surprise to me. Most people on here earlier in the season never thought we had a chance of a top 4 finish, so moaning about it now does seem to me to be a bit odd though.

what has Redknapp actually won with Spurs and in this "greatest season in 50 years" who have they actually beaten by the way?

as for the start to the season I have made my feelings known about this and I place most of the blame on our incompetent board for not releasing money for transfers earlier than they did. Given the handicap this placed on Wenger he has done remarkably well to turn things around and we now have momentum to take into next season. If we hang onto what I call my "big 3 players" (RVP, Song + Walcott) and add a bit of quality we will contend for the title next season. We have already proved we are as good as the top 2 in the past 6 months

You are absolute quality Red.....my big 3 players ! Another one for the list

I can only assume that putting the wonderous Song in there is WUM bait for our dear Augie ? You should have gone the whole way and made Almunia and Denilson part of the 'big 5'

This reminds me of a holiday in S. Africa when we were looking for the big 5 on safari. An Irish couple (of course) on their honeymoon said they were going to start Irish safaris for the big 2, sheep and cows, and were wondering if they could stretch it to the big 3 including goats! :D

Back to the original title of the thread, I don't know what you all think, but this place is dying a slow painful death. Loads of the better posters rarely on anymore, no craic and wumming has taken over from debate / good row.

It is quite clear what is happening to this forum, to anyone with half a brain to see it: it is in the process of sanitization. This was a place where subversinveness and contrarian thought was rife, criticism of the manager was scrutinous and constant. The AKBs hated this place, and the owners of this place clearly wanted to pander to them
It is bizarre that after the shut-down of this place, it has re-emerged more policed than ever, with anti-Wenger sentiment clamped down on heavily.

FrankButcher isn't wrong to state a clear correlation between the Gooner wanting to sell its (very good) copy, and continue to have access to the club. Under this pathetic autocrat manager and board, (the one that sues old ladies making hats, rips the fans off etc); all recalcitrants WILL fall into line. Hence you will see far less criticism of Wenger and the club on here, and way more comedians like Pleb Member. Shame that.

Seems Arsenal Truth (and that git Myles Palmer) are the only places left on the web with the balls to slate Wenger the Autocrat without fearing which demographic of AKB clowns they need to pander to.....

Do not agree Babatunde.

All that happened was that the Forum came back in the middle of a seven game winning run.

So less criticism of the club whilst we were winning, but certainly not an absence of criticism.

But I do agree with Flash's point, I really do find it odd that you have only come back here as soon as we lost a game.

Was there nothing to talk about whilst we were winning?

This place has been sanitised. The only "edge" it ever had was that you could speak your mind. You can't even do that now. The AKB are allowed to WUM to their heart's content. Anyone who has a pop about the Wumming is modded. It's quite clear that there is an ulterior motive. What makes me laugh is that the Mods are actually helping to sanitise the place. It's funny how a made-up title and a bit of authority blinds them to the fact that they are actually ruining the place. It's like making the school bully a prefect.

Keep up the modding boys. You are fucking this place over every day of the week. :banghead:

I see your point Quartz but just to clear it up.

1. I was on here before our 'winning run' ended. So that's a false statement.
2. Arsenal's season ended when they were dumped out the FA Cup - why did I not come on here gloating? I just haven't been around.

Ripping into Wenger is easy mate, I just need to take ooooh say any given season over the past seven years?
