Do you mean that we have been lucky lately and that ran out today or do you mean that we were unlucky today ? If it was the latter then I am getting worried about your state of mind

Re: QPR match thread
Today's performance was not as bad as many have made out.
Q.P.R played very well, denied us time and space, on a terrible pitch.
Both their goals came from Vermaelen errors.
He has struggled at times since his return from injury; just hope a good pre-season sorts him out.
I wrote after the Villa game that Van Persie looked tired especially in the second half. He had another sub par performance today.
With a stronger squad we could afford to rest him for a game. Or perhaps he is carrying a slight injury, or got one today from that challenge in the first half?
Amazed at the criticism Walcott is getting; he scored, and worked hard, cutting inside to try to make things happen.
But he was hampered by a below par RvP, and the strange inclusion of Ramsey as a wide left sided midfielder. Ramsey is struggling at the moment, but it cannot help him or the team to play him out of position like that.
Song tried to make things happen too with his chipped passes, but his defensive display was erratic, and he must work on his positioning and anticipation for the good of the team.

i couldn't believe Giggs, would leave Keown and Adams on there arses, but he did - that's the strange thing about footie, next week Vermaelen will have a stormer

I do agree that Kos and TV5 are our best CB pairing but I dont see how giggs beating players with skill has any relevence to CB's not coping with players "jumping into them"Rosie_titters wrote:i couldn't believe Giggs, would leave Keown and Adams on there arses, but he did - that's the strange thing about footie, next week Vermaelen will have a stormer
AsI said Keown and Adams would have coped with that kind of physical game.
Re: QPR match thread
Let's face it. TV playede horrible today, but we should not have a go at him. He has played excellent so fare
One concern is when a big and strong fellow like Zamora plays againt us, we struggle. You could see we had problems with him. Particular Koscielny had his problems.
Also when the ball was kicked high into the penalty area, QPR were dangerous. Same old song...
To me the players underestimated QPR, and we payed the penalty.....
Thought OX shoul have been involved earlier insted of Tomas and played midfield as he has done before this season.
Did not create much, so QPR deserved to win
Sunday next week we want a response....

Re: QPR match thread
sadly we don't have an Adams or a Kewon - one thing i notice with Vermaelen he does like to go walk about and try to get forward as much as possible, maybe get a solid CB alongside Kos and have Vermaelen as a holding midfielderarmchair supporter wrote:I could never, ever imagine saying that about Keown and Adams as they'd have given as good as they'd got and then someRosie_titters wrote:TV5 and Kos are out best CB - mertersack is shit, our form has improved since he got injured and Kos and TV have done well together

I am so worried that the scum will end up crowing about that f**king gap again

Re: QPR match thread
I did notice TV5 was bombing forward even more than usual today. But that was probably him trying to make up for his errors. Having said that both goals were down to piss poor defending and not him being out of position.
I dont know if Wenger has started coaching defensive tactics again (think I read somewhere he has) but I do think its something that would improve and benefit the whole team greatly. But Wengar is a complete tool so who knows!

Re: QPR match thread
Can't agree Quartz, Ramsey has been very poor all season. He offers little and gives the ball away a hell of a lot. He desperately needs a season on loan to another premiership club, he's nowhere near good enough for Arsenal.Ramsey is struggling at the moment
We always seem to be carrying a really poor player in our team!
Hopefully today's result will bring a lot of people back to earth, too many fans and players alike were getting carried away thinking 3rd was nailed on. Arsenal have crumbled so many times, we're still more than capable of finishing 5th.
We need to regroup and Wenger needs to drop those who are not performing......but I doubt that will happen because it never does.

TeeCee I agree, he has struggled all season (a long moment!).
But I think he does have quality passing in him, plus I remember the runs into the box he would make for Cardiff, good one-twos, and I know there is quality there.
Would not sell him, so maybe a loan spell will be what he needs.
Re: QPR match thread
Agree with both of you, yet Wenger sees Ramsey as a first teamer... even on the left ahead of Gervinho, Benayoun and Ox .QuartzGooner wrote:TeeCee wrote:Can't agree Quartz, Ramsey has been very poor all season. It's unbelievable. Ramsey's form stinks, yet Wenger seems intent on finding him a place in the side regardless of form or position

Sorry to steal a phrase from Steveo, but it's like Wenger is a self harmer. I just don't get it.

Re: QPR match thread
Didn't see the game but the result isn't entirely surprising. QPR is battling for their lives, and Loftus is always a difficult away fixture. Arsenal tends to play poorly the game/week after smashing an uninterested opponent - see Villa last weekend - and the guys probably didn't come out as fired up for this as they should have. I hate to sound like I'm just knee-jerking because we've lost a game, but that preparedness comes down to Wenger - he has to get results in these kind of fixtures.
Truth be told we lack depth - as other posters have said - and it shows when RVP, TV5, or others get tired. Walcott, for me, could do a little more in these games played away from home; it seems like he shies away when he doesn't have the home crowd urging him on.
I don't want to comment too much further as I didn't watch the game, but I feel these are typical Arsenal failings when it comes to dropped points. Let's hope the Swans can do one over Sp*rs tomorrow.
