the Wolves game

Post by Red Member »

ok I know the City game is next up but I think for the Wolves game we will neeed to rest RVP as he is looking a little tired.
the question is who do we play up front for that game?
this is after all Wolves who have the worst home record in the PL and who like letting lots of players score at their ground. i am still not sure Chamakh is up to it though, he is more of a non league player so to ask him to score against what will be a Championship side in a few months time might be a bit much. Same goes for Park who I had high hopes for but has never been given a chance.

therefore how about playing in form Walcott up front on his own, supported by the Ox on the right and Gervinho on the left? play Rosicky in the middle and then you still have Ramsey to come on from the bench (his best postion) if we need a goal.

To be honest mate, all of our central striking options are utter shit because the collective management of this club in their wisdom, spurned the opportunity to sign players in that department both in the Summer and in January

Of course RvP needs a rest - you know it, I know it, 60000 people know it, but as you rightly point out Chamakh is about as much use as a handbrake on a canoe with chocolate fireguard Park not far behind him.

I am not convinced that Walcott will ever make a central striker but given how dismal the other two are, it is a better option. Just keep Gervinho out of the bloody side. Once Abou is back he has to go at the tip of the three man midfield and play Rosicky and the Ox either side

of course this would be a 1 off game for Walcott but surely he can score against Wolves ? :D

I still think Gervinho is a better option on the left than playing Ramsey there. Did Wenger get confused on Saturday and think Ramsey was Gareth Bale?

Gervinho is also 10 times the player that the camel will ever be although that is not difficult
