Who is the better Goalkeeper?
Szczesny,or Krul?
I know that we all love "Chesney",but out of the two,who do you think is the better Keeper?

Re: Who is the better Goalkeeper?
Chesney, easily.
Re: Who is the better Goalkeeper?
Chesney for me - if there was another keeper from one of the smaller clubs in the league that I would accept as a replacement then it would be the dutch guy at swansea (vorm ??
)

Mind you,Krul has probably got the better peripheral vision/awareness bearing in mind his eyes are 3 miles apart!

Re: Who is the better Goalkeeper?
Chesney. Krul is a good keeper but I wouldn't swap Chesney for anyone at present.

a goalkeeper is only as good as his defence, Peter Shilton is a primary example

Southall too, he used to say if he had to dive his defence wasn't doing their job. It's all about organisation.Rosie_titters wrote:a goalkeeper is only as good as his defence, Peter Shilton is a primary example
FWIW, taking my Gooner goggles off, I would have to say Krul is the better of the two at present but that Szczeney has age on his side and should go on to be a top keeper. I will now put on my hard hat and prepare for colourful criticism!
Re: Who is the better Goalkeeper?
Szcesny.
So glad we have him, and is one for the long term who we can hopefully keep for a very long time!!

Re: Who is the better Goalkeeper?
Szcesny all the way,
wouldn't even swap him for De gea

Re: Who is the better Goalkeeper?
I am a big fan of Szczesny and after the shit we had after Lehmann left its great we have a good keeper again. But he still has a lot to learn thats why we should sign an experienced back keeper so he can learn off them.Imagine trainng with the two clowns every day.
And it hurts me to say it look at the season Friedal has had at 40

Has to be Szczchsnxzcney. AW finally got round to selecting the right keeper and trusted him to deliver when many on this forum, me included, were calling for a more experienced Given-type signing.

i would still sign an exprienced back up keeper. As with RVP we are one injury away from Chamakh an injury to Szczesny means Flappytime
