Re: THE FORUM AS IT IS NOW
I didnt ban Red but i have seen that his wumming causes bad feeling amongst people which then leads to abuse which we all know leads to this place being shut down..... Personally i found Red funny but soon it got boring and im not unhappy to see him gone for a week but i hope he comes back with his pro-Wenger views but not pathetic attempts to annoy others....
FrankButcher if this place is a shite as you think it is then please feel free not to post or even ask admin to delete your account

Well I did list some of his 'greatest hits' and asked Reb to clarify which one was the offending quote.highburyJD wrote:what did he actually get banned for?mcdowell42 wrote:Ive read REDS posts they were harmless inoffensive posts
Apparently suggesting that if Denilson were to return that he would be first choice in midfield was the one !

why do people let Red member get to them, just ignore his posts and the bloke will soon disappear, he craves attention -

ask Steveo, he's the one validating his presence with his silly polls and diaby retorts. the reason this place has gone downhill is everyone's just taking the piss, wummers are the only people that really get attention and post regularly and people who posted genuine stuff don't feel theres any point being on here anymore because of it. It doesn't help that the swearing ban has made this place look as souless and hollow as the official arsenal forum. I don't mind posting here but theres hardly any debate or genuine posts here anymore. Making half the members here Mods didn't help eitherRosie_titters wrote:why do people let Red member get to them, just ignore his posts and the bloke will soon disappear, he craves attention -

There was probably two people that caused a problem in abuse here, Babatunde and Swanners, and instead of just banning the two of them they closed this place down for a month and put it back up with a name change a bunch of stringent rules. Since when do people go to a football match, call the opposition players *word censored*, get home, onto the laptop and start bursting into tears that someone was called a *word censored* as well? Unlike some of the morons on here I don't believe swearing = lack of intelligence it's a way of expressing yourself and if your stopping people from doing that then what is the point?
Just undo the silly swearing bans, perma ban Baba and RM, and change the name back and maybe this place will survive...

Augie, I wasn't trying to make out that the Irish contingent were a clique as such, but on occasion a thread went into an irish bashing / name calling direction (through banter I'm sure) and then the irish would respond in kind and before you know it there is 3/4 pages of stuff that then went down the gay / height / route and the actual debate got lost in a cyberworld of banter. It could well be that the thread had run its course, but equally so there may be many posters who declined to post their thoughts and points of view as they would be overshadowed by the abuse.augie wrote:Seriously lads ??I dont think there has ever been an Irish clique on here so I dont think you can lump the Irish as a group in with your objections. I totally empathise with your feelings on some of the perceived cliques and/or in house jokes around here cos sometimes they can get a bit tiresome but on the other hand I think it is great that so many people from here have met up and got to know each other through here
I have met rebs,DB0,flash,franksav,barry,percy,mutley,chunky,goose,nick,jayson and the much missed number 5 to mention just a few and they are all sound lads and good craic to be around and I would never have known them if it wasnt for this place but I can understand how those that havent met any of the lads might feel like they are on the outside but that doesnt make it a clique or closed group and any one of you should always feel welcome to meet up with the lads on matchdays and they will make you as welcome as they made me. I know that there are many more lads on here that I look forward to meeting at a game somewhere along the line (g88ner, donaldo, steve o, quartz and lethal to name just a few)
I agree that it is great the Gooner community help each other out for tickets, meet for a beer etc and that side of the forum perhaps isn't pushed as much as it should be - to encourage new members who are lurking to join in.

Henry have a look at the forum rules thread barring *word censored* there is no swearing ban anymore. This should have been made public that's it's been changedHenry Norris 1913 wrote:ask Steveo, he's the one validating his presence with his silly polls and diaby retorts. the reason this place has gone downhill is everyone's just taking the piss, wummers are the only people that really get attention and post regularly and people who posted genuine stuff don't feel theres any point being on here anymore because of it. Re: THE FORUM AS IT IS NOW
this forum has quieten down, because we are doing well - nothing to do with mods, swearing, red member - we all love a good moan
and when we were poor during the earlier part of the season, people couldn't wait to come on here and bitch, but at the moment the only things the fans are moaning about is how woeful ramsey has become.
I hope he has a good rest in the summer and don't take part in that olympics nonsense and comes back a better play next season. I still believe Ramsey will be great

Re: THE FORUM AS IT IS NOW
Just to be clear the c word is still off limits and abusive swearing at others is verboten, but other than that I hate anything to do with the fcuking spud twats, chav arsehole scum (aka Santorum) and the manure wakners.

Re: THE FORUM AS IT IS NOW
If RM is banned why only for a week?.Do you think he will change when his ban is over.More chance of us signing Gotze

surely if somebody is banned it should be revealed what they're banned for...?
otherwise somebody else could do the same unknowingly...
