According to the Telegraph...

"The Italian was apparently wearing a vest emblazoned with the logo “YOLO”, meaning “You Only Live Once”, from The Motto by rapper Drake featuring Lil’ Wayne (not Rooney)."

A miss is a miss, he will get over it. Needs a rest in my opinion.

What a cracking match, atmosphere, result, and day.......best I have heard it up at the Grove this season (wasn't at the Spurs game so will let others judge that)

The team played with such a high intensity, just as they did for all bar 38 minutes against the Scummers and in the recent wins against Everton, Newcastle and Liverpool.......which is why losing to bloody QPR was so hard to take.

Massive praise for Mikel Arteta - I think the guy has been bloody fantastic for us this season. He's such a mature player and can do the lot from breaking up the play to scoring from 30 yards. He's so responsible in everything he does, I just wish we'd be able to sign him when he was about 26 and pair him with young Cesc. If we could have had him marshalling the middle with Cesc and Wilshere ahead of him, that three would be up there with anything in the Prem

Impressive from just about everyone yesterday. Walcott was still a bit frustrating but not enough to take the gloss of the day, and of course Ramsey should have done better with that chance.....but lets enjoy the result

The team now needs to ensure there isn't another QPR type display against the Kings of the Little Club Charter on Wednesday

Arteta immense yesterday. Admittedly his job was made a lot easier by the shocking touches and lack of understanding in the City midfield but he can only do well against what is in front of him and of course his goal was sweet.

Rosicky I thought played very well although he lacked the final ball to unlock City, I think RvP's movement has worryingly dropped a level in the last few games which didn't help in this regard.

Song sloppy in possession and clumsy in the tackle, had a couple of good moments but his failings are always masked in games where we control the tempo, especially at home.

Atmosphere was amazing, especially for the first and last 20 minutes of the match. You know its been good when you've fucked your leg up in celebrating. The home fans definitely respond very well to being underdogs and you cant tell me that was inferior to having some fat serbian *word censored* droning on a megaphone for 90 minutes.

All in all, a good day :barscarf:

It was good yesterday to be fair. Good by English standards, not a patch on Serbia, Greece or Poland though ;)

This really does prove the point to me though that great atmospheres are caused by the occasion and the performance and nobody could ever orchestrate something to compare with that.

When the Poznan was going on and people were just going mental, hugging each other, and the scarves were all out, it looked and sounded bloody brilliant

Has anyone got any footage of the Posnan from yesterday?

Only the Motd clip. Is about and it's not great with those two old farts standing in the normal way.....

And it's a shame the BBC didn't show that wonderful Petite Pute banner!

Occasion schmoccasion. It can be done every week if people have the mentality, which the English don't. ;)

From a horrifically boring 0-0 at Legia;

Also nice how MotD managed to make it look like City were on top for most of the game - I'm surprised they didn't superimpose a shot on target for them
