Just read this in the Guardian. It's David Conn so quite verbose but it may be worth a read for anyone who may be too young to remember what actually happened. I know most on here have pretty entrenched opinions as to what happened (myself included) but still worth a scan if you have time. It basically asserts (via Michael Mansfield QC) that South Yorkshire Police were corrupt, a view espoused by Herd I believe (sorry if that's incorrect).

It's not new news that the South Yorks police were widely corrupt - not to mention the other forces that were equally as bad.

Apropos of Liverpool; they've also sacked the club Doctor, the legal QC who dealt with the Saurez case and goalkeeping coach Achterberg. I hear the tea lady is still in situ though. Can't see Dalglish lasting too much longer at this rate.
