Hillsborough Article

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Hillsborough Article

Post by officepest »

Just read this in the Guardian. It's David Conn so quite verbose but it may be worth a read for anyone who may be too young to remember what actually happened. I know most on here have pretty entrenched opinions as to what happened (myself included) but still worth a scan if you have time. It basically asserts (via Michael Mansfield QC) that South Yorkshire Police were corrupt, a view espoused by Herd I believe (sorry if that's incorrect).

First thread, hope this link works.

Just reading that actually.

It's not new news that the South Yorks police were widely corrupt - not to mention the other forces that were equally as bad.

Apropos of Liverpool; they've also sacked the club Doctor, the legal QC who dealt with the Saurez case and goalkeeping coach Achterberg. I hear the tea lady is still in situ though. Can't see Dalglish lasting too much longer at this rate.
