how is mentioning Kenny Dalglish considered to be a WUM?
He has led his team to TWO Wembley cup finals. unbelievable achievement.

Wenger has to be considered because he has managed a team as good as any other in the PL since the beginning of October. He obviously can't win manager of the year because he hasnt achieved success over the whole season.

Martinez though if he can guide his Wigan team to safety over the course of an entire PL season is worthy of the award. It is particularly remarkable as they dont appear to have hardly any supporters going on last nights evidence.

Rodgers for me. Has them playing excellent football and competing on a shoe string. Basically doing what Wenger talks alot about but without pissing millions away on overpaid dross. Rodgers may indeed implode in his second season, but for this season a definite contender for Manager of the year.

Tricky one. Hate to say it as the man is an utter but obviously Pardew has to be a major contender. If (unlikely but still pretty possible) they get CL then that decides it for me, to get ahead of Spurs and Chelsea considering how long they've been back in the PL and considering they've sold "key" players (Carroll, Barton and Nolan) without spending much to replace them they've (typically and frustratingly) done amazing to be around the european places. I'll piss myself if they miss out, and Pardew is still crap and will revert to type sooner or later but for this season you have to hold your hands up and say they've got a cracking side assembled and are getting a lot of good results, we've all expected a slump and it just hasnt come, fair play.

Aside from him it'd have to be Lambert or Rodgers- its hard to bring a side up from the championship and keep them in the top flight but Norwich and Swansea look set to do it comfortably. The only thing putting them behind Pardew for me is that there is a lot of crap in the league and it maybe hasnt been as hard to survive as normal, but either way they've done a cracking job.

And Ferguson, as always- big spending Man City looked set to romp to the title after the result at Old Trafford and United looked to have their weakest side in years with very few real stand out world class stars. He has somehow galvanised them, bringing Scholes back has ended up being a masterstroke, and Mancini has simply crumbled under the pressure. Absolute respect for the bloke, what he has done is yet again impressive as hell.

Been a canny season this tbh (much though I now just want it to end and cant be arsed with the rest of our games), the relegation battle should be gripping.
