The Re-naming of The Emirates Stadium

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I passed Highbury for the first time in about 4 years on Monday night (Usually come down from H&I) It made me very sad thinking back to all those good old days... :cry:

it could be called Le Banc - I mean we all keeping pouring our well earned dosh into it...mind you the % returns are bloomin awful.

Can't call it Highbury as it clearly isn't !

I do call it The Emirates Stadium or just The Emirates.

I'll use one that I had published before in the Gooner............

Get new sponsorship deals with O2, British Airways and the Gooner mag itself and call it ......................................

i just call it arsenal, as in "going up to arsenal this week".

i do hope it just gets called "arsenal stadium" like the old one, and that way whatever name it ends up being called, be it highbury or holloway or ashburton grove, will be organic and from the fans, and not forced

Fly Emirates shirt sponsorship expires in 2014.

Stadium naming rights won't expire until 2021. :(
