The stuff I can't stand reading is the shite that gets tripped out after every feeble defeat against a supposed 'lesser' team. I don't know why they just don't have a permanent article on the website where they just edit the name of the team that have just rolled us over

Thing is it's (more or less) accepted that the majority of Professional Footballer's are not (intellectually speaking) the brightest bulbs on the ole crimbo tree, brilliant they may be with a ball at their feet - Rooney for example - and so when they attempt to voice their opinions it is often mis-placed, ill-informed and embarrassing....of course there are exceptions , but with the dumbing down(sic) of the collective intelligence and the decline in educational standards this is just another aspect of the outcome from that, along with the way the media have manipulated the collective's need to know every detail of a famous person's life...Hence Andy Warhol's 15 minutes of fame prophecy has come true - which is all part of the same profit orientated media machine that now rules so many lives. Sadly (IMO) the majority of the public don't even know they are now part of a trend designed to keep the frenzied media machine in place - people telephoning radio stations etc - and so ensure continued profit/success - Headlines no matter how ridiculous seem to just be accepted and believed by so many people who don't even question what is being said and just take what the media says (and the government) as inviolable, the reason I say this is because I sometimes feel that Arsenal (The Club) are manipulating the fans in a similar fashion....which is why I totally get it when people get so angry and start slagging off AW & the Board etc
