Tedious 1st half, again no pace or desire - our midfield is sooo ponderous in possession, no communication which has seen Ramsey robbed 3 times from a player behind him.
Chelsea looking dangerous on the counter, particularly down their left often having an overlap.
Ended with 3 decent chances for us, which could have given us a lead.
For god sake have a bloody go at them 2nd half as a few legs may be heavy from their Barca match.

Fair point, they can be a bit ponderous and prone to losing the ball stupidly, but sign a good defensive midfielder and you'd have a side very well set up to play counter attacking football due to having RVP up front, good passers in central midfield and a lot of pace. Mind I suppose Wenger knows more about it than me, I just think its so obvious that theres a good side there if they were to try playing that way rather than trying to play the same old style that worked so well years ago and now isnt bringing rewards. To make this style work I think you'd need 4 or 5 players, to make a counter attacking side work maybe 2 or 3, time will tell I suppose
I agree. It is not far off having all the right parts but depends on AW and how he actually asks them to play. Swift counter-attacking used to be our strength and great to watch. We seem to be stuck with a slower build up that give teams a chance to regroup and that results in the high possession tippy tappy football that we are used to seeing in recent seasons.
Woeful woeful game - the chavs have good reason to appear distracted with barca looming tues night plus they have rotated their squad so a disjointed performance would be normal but we just dont seem up for this at all
For 60 minutes we have seen the 100k a week winger totally nullified by a left back that hasnt a dozen starts in the prem league Thank fcuk he has gone off now cos he is doing my fcuking head in

If I thought like that before the KO then I would have preferred to go to Sainsburys with the missus this afternoon.
A point at home to a week Chav team?
I'm beginning to appreciate some people's other point of views regarding Wenger.
