What is the point of Maryanne and SQP ?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

What is the point of Maryanne and SQP ?

Post by SteveO 35 »

RvP is playing as if he's got weights in his boots at the moment. The poor sod is absolutely cream crackered and desperately needs some help for this run-in.

Now the GIC chose not to sign a striker in January, and by definition has kept faith with Maryanne and SQ Park. Park got 45 minutes against Oman the other day and apparently did fuck all. Maryanne likewise.

Even when we are struggling to get a goal in an important game - today and 1-2 down against Wigan - he still won't even give Maryanne 10 minutes from the bench. Park doesn't even make the bench

Honestly, are there two more pointless players at the club? Are we going to see either of them take to the field in Arsenal colours again? If Wenger realised in January just how fucking useless they were and had to call for TH14, how on earth can he justify not signing a permanent striker?

The rumour on the grapevine is that they are being used as a tax write off and claiming for goverments grants as part of a care in the community project

Easy to say in hindsight & I cant claim to have known much about him but missing out on Cisse seems like a huge oversight. Affordable price, seemingly willing selling club, could have played in a partnership with RVP or alone in his absence, brings a lot to the side we're missing (out & out number 9 etc), intelligent movement, scores all sorts of goals…

Granted a lot of other clubs are probably wondering the same thing, but he seems exactly like what we specifically have been crying out for. :?

This season SQP and Shamakh have literally offered a fraction combined of what Billy Big Bollox did on his own last year. Or even Craptista in his day for that matter. How is that even scientifically possible? I've wondered at times if Park was the board's buy (above Wenger's head) & Wenger's spent all season snubbing him to try & make some kind of point, but that wouldn't explain Ramcrakh getting the Senderos treatment too.
