STOKE RFC THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Does that mean that to complete the symmetry it will end up:

11-12 stoke 0 Arsenal 2

It was actually 2-1 in 08-09. Looking forward to it next week,we were pony today and at Wigan a couple of weeks back. Came back well in the next two after the Wigan game though,we'll see. You look ok in third now too.

Nodding my head up till then Paul... But OK ain't the word... We've not won a game all season without Arteta and look bereft.

This is going to be the first competitive game for a good nine or so years I've not watched live. Really, really, really don't see why I should get my arse over to the pub and watch em go through the motions, or bother with the hassle of a shit stream.

we capable of going up there and pinching a draw, just worried that RVP goals have dried up and have to wonder where we will score from

Benny RVP Gerv
Song Rosicky Diaby
Gibbs Kosc Verm Sagna
Szczes

Hoping that Ramsey doesn't start this one, Diaby would certainly be more stable in the middle behind rosicky. I think Wenger will put Benny back in the lineup and give Gerv the start over Ox for this one. I think walcott being out will benefit us somewhat. We need an actual winger on the right side to dribble at people. With Walcott it's like playing with a handicapp. If Ox couldve started on the right today I think he would've got himself in the game more and created more chances for us.

Co-signed. Coquelin is tailor-made for this type of game. That boy loves a crunching tackle.

Agreed. Get Ramsey out of the firing line, especially at that place where the knuckledraggers will be singing "he's only got one leg" and "there's only one Ryan Shawcross" etc.

Stevie Wonder can spot that Ramsey is shot to pieces, but double standards Wenger who doesn't want to overexpose the Ox is quite happy to let Ramsey play 40+ games and ruin his confidence even more

SORRY MODS I PUT THIS IN THE WRONG THREAD:

Hopefully, we can keep it tight and offer an outlet other then the right side/ full back over lap poor cross tecnique
we have been using all season.

Our most sucessfull teams have attacked from the left side,

Overmars, Cole overlap
Pires, Henry, Cole

Our right side rarely troubled but would chip in with extra goals running in behind ie Bergkamp feeding Ljunberg.
or show up the midfield like Parlour

Maybe use both Song middle & Conqulin deep covering the right side with rosicky infront and santos/gibbs on the wing. Stick the ox upfront leftside and RVP upfront right side so he can cut in on his left.

I see what you're saying. I was just looking at the table. Spuds gone tits-up,Chelski have minds on other things, you'd think and the bar-codes play 3 out of 4 away and their home game is Man City. I'll have a look on FB later to see how Ben got on,should be finished by now. Hope he does'nt do a lap of honour if he wins!

We lost 3-1 there in the FA Cup too. I got drenched and it was one of the most miserable viewing experiences in 30 odd years of watching the Gooners, watching our enforcer Eastmond and bully-boy Vela mince their way around the field for 90 minutes

Since then I have flatly refused to buy a ticket for an FA Cup with the Self Harmer at the helm. What's the fucking point when we get a Prem team away and play jokers like that?

I seem to recall Denilson barely breaking sweat whilst supposedly marking Ricardo Fuller as he marauded towards goal. But he's a winner dont ya know...
