AKB's
I am no Wenger lover and I certainly think he needs to sort things out
But
I don't want him to go anywhere

Re: AKB's
A.T.M. Im going from a acceptance of the man to a hater nearly every game ....but and its a BIG but would whoever came in be given time to get rid of le prof's mental attiude that has been ingrained in the current squad ...and more importantal would the war chest be opened ?
Re: AKB's
Sammy he has had 7 years to sort it out.How much longer do you want to give him?
Just take a look at some of his signings in the last two years.Chamakh Squillaci Park,Gervinho,Santos and Mertesacker. He recently gave the useless Djourou a new contract
At no other major club in Europe would a manager be allowed to go 7 years without a trophy. Why would you want Wenger to stay any longer? He should have gone in 2009 and the last 3 years have proved that.Nothing will change at the club while he is in charge. With his mentality that just finishing top 4 is good enough

Re: AKB's
if what is in the Daily Mail today is true, then he's got to go - ffs who is picking the team and making decisions, clearly not Wenger -
Re: AKB's
Wenger out, Moyes in
A man happy to let a club drop its standards consistently over 7 years, or a man who strives to make his side better every year and punches above his weight despite spending less on players than everyone else in the league, and who doesn't tolerate a stinking, shitey, attitude from his players

fuck me Rosie, what planet are you on?

As for the Theo thing... I'd say that's possibly a mix of Theo's stupidity for telling the staff he's okay to play on, and the physio for either trusting the daft little sod or not realising the significance soon enough!

Re: AKB's
I agree with the not winning anything for seven years and he has had time but, Guardiola ain't coming here, we can't afford him on the rigid money merry go round that is Arsenal
My concern is this.....has anyone seen or heard of the man who currently owns the majority of the club?
That is where things need a change more so than the manager

Re: AKB's
Sammy, I agree it would be a huge and massive decision to ditch him. Other clubs' fans, managers think some of us are crazy to even consider getting rid of a man who has been successful in the past and in their eyes is still successful given 134 consecutive years in the Champions League.
But from my point of view it has all gone stale. Success is as we all know now defined by whether you reach the holy grail of the CL. For me and others it isn't enough and I've said many times that it really kills me that I see him interviewed these days and I just don't like him anymore. It's all bullshit and bollocks that come out of his mouth and quite frankly the way he handles defeat is shocking and always has been. No dignity.
Too many average players on high salaries whilst we're being asked to pay top dollar for our season tickets. For me it's not necessarily the fact that we haven't won a trophy cos me and you and other 50 somethings have been through worse times than this. It's the fact that he has made me feel detached from the club I love.I feel that he really couldn't give a shit about the fans, it's his way or nothing. The stubborness has reached an all time high and I do want a change. No tactics, no defensive awareness, just go out and express yourselves....well that's not good enough anymore.
But who can replace him you ask? I always have and always will be a fan of Moyes. Imagine what his discipline, tactical awareness and motivation could do when mixed with a bit of cash........oh but what's the point. Whilst we are 3rd or 4th it is pointless having this type of thread, totally pointless because with CL cash and 50000 on the waiting list nobody in their right mind in the purple seats would want to rock the business model would they?

Re: AKB's
Has to fcuking go and I cannot understand how anybody would think any differently - I understand that many will not want him thrown out in an unclassy way but for me he either resigns or I would organise the removal men to collect his stuff for him as I send him on his way
The club is and always must be more important than the individual and a loyalty to wenger cannot be allowed to continue this stagnation that we are witnessing every fcuking season

I just don't see what Wenger's brought to the table for the last 4 years or so. There's no aspect of management that I can say he's excelling in, and plenty where he's failed miserably.
Got no issue with any Arsenal fan who genuinely believes he's still the right man for the job, but I'd be curious as to what aspects of management they really feel he's still excelling (or even competent
) in.

Re: AKB's
I'm in 2 minds about that. I've never doubted Wenger genuinely cares about the club, even now, but he's so bloody minded about what is in the club's best interests he cant even see the trees anymore never mind the wood. It's still a form of condescending arrogance obviously, but more a case of someone doing the wrong things for what they feel are the right reasons than going out his way to say fuck you to the fans.I Hate Hleb wrote:My sentiments exactly.
