Two years ago Newcastle were in the championship so they have by far exceeded expectations.
In 2008 we finish 3rd having led the table for 7 months and losing 3 games.That was a great season which ultimately we ran out of gas because Wenger refused to strengthen his weak squad in january.This season not once were we in the title race so how can if be called a good season.We have lost 10 league games FFS

This stat always makes me think back to the end of the 08/09 season where Wenger put our failure to compete for the title down to the fact that "we lost too many games (5) and conceded too many goals (37)"
I believe since then we've lost many more games and conceded a lot more goals than that in each of the following seasons...
To lose 10 games in a season (with the possiblity of more to come) is a disgrace and for this Wenger should be shown the door, it's just not good enough and our seasons are getting continually worse, save for a little unbeaten run where hopes are raised, then just as soon to have them typically dashed. #Wobarmy

Dan in fact in 07/08 we lost just 3 games and conceded 31 goals

Wish all this moaning would stop. Since Wigan, Arsene has proven you wrong and we are on a one-game unbeaten run, have conceded no goals, and easy fixture to come away to Stoke. Arsene has learned his lesson and this summer will ring the changes and bring in quality players. Keep the faith, we are so spoiled just watch that 0-0 against Chelski reserves again on Saturday for proof...
