As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This is me I cant afford Arsenal very much these days get to averagely 5 games a season due to having a young family so i go and watch my local non league team in the Conference Premier. The standard of football is shit but its a 10 minute walk to the ground with a decent pub half way between my house and the ground, doesnt cost a fortune to get in, they have a nice clubhouse for a half time beer and i dont get upset or angry when 'we' lose. I quite enjoy it in a strange sort of way
Remind me who the team is? Oh and if they've got a Forum then bugger off over there you traitor!!
I've been a fan of utd, liverpool and leeds depending on how they are doing, I will give Arsenal one more season to win a trophy, if not then I will probably have to change again and it will be all Wenger's fault.
When I was in school, my mates and I used to queue up outside the box office at Highbury to get tickets to any games we could get tickets for and one mate used to tag along but never actually bought a ticket or came to a match because he was bin dipper. Anyway, one day one of them couldn't make it and he came along to a Carling Cup match sitting in the East Stand. Think it was the 4-1 against Middlesbrough. The next day at school, he was raving on about Highbury, the game and players and how he was now an Arsenal supporter Saw him recently and he's still a Gooner

Thort i new who u meant for a second but i just looked at his profile and he is a Man City fan so it cant be same person can it
Always supported Arsenal . Had other teams shirts as a kid too but didnt support them just liked the kits. I even had the Admiral wales kit that coventry had a blue version of! 2 Kids in my primary school changed teams from Arsenal. One now supports Spurs and the other went to West Ham !
My Dad was a Man Utd fan. Until one fateful day at Wembley in 1971 where he saw a young man called Charlie George score. He changed allegiance then and didn't look back. thanks Dad.
Earlier this month he finally realized a 40 year dream and met the man himself at the legends tour. I was there as well, what a lovely bloke.

Have you or anyone you know ever changed which club you support? I'm not talking about the odd Tarquin or Rupert or our Far Eastern friends who follow the trends and go where the success is but genuine supporters who after years and years of following one team then jumped ship and supported another.
I'd be surprised if it ever happens but go on surprise me!!
My Ex's dad was a United Season ticket (from Manchester) When Wigan got promoted he jacked in his United seat and bought a Wigan one. He still 'supported United' but went to every Wigan home game and some away and even watched the United game in his Wigan seat. I always found that strange . . . but then he was from Manchester
I had a mate who was from an Ipswich supporting family, originally came from Suffolk, and in about 1984 /85 decided he had had enough of them and started to support Liverpool
I can understand watching a local team, due to money, availabilty of tickets etc ( I used to regualarly go to watch Southend when I lived down that way when I was still at school ) but can't comprehend giving up on your club.....despite it sometimes feeling like a good idea.
I was chosen to be Gooner and for that I will always be grateful.
