PODOLSKI

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm sure he'll find an excuse to join a CL qualifier rather than play in the Channel 5 cup with us. Look out for the late 'snag' in the deal, Mata style

agree on that. If chelsea become CL winners and we become fourth, then we arse out of CL....and Podolski will not come

I disagree.
He left Bayern to play for Köln knowing that his team won´t feature in the european cup competitions for years.
I am sure he´s coming - regardless of weather we finish 3rd, 4th or 5th.

He left Koln because they were his boyhood club and has a special affection for them.

Now his profile is back up again, I can't see him wanting to play in the Thursday Night Cup. Then again when Robin leaves he's guaranteed £100k per week, 50 games a season as our only striker and will be free from the pressure of winning trophies and to enjoy a nice life in London

We shouldn´t rely on him as our main striker.
The best comes out of him when he plays on the wings in a 4-2-3-1 system.

Correct...I don't think his main goal is to play CL, although it is nice ;-)...but I think Arsenal will finish third...
And yes, he is better on the left wing (maybe one of the best world wide) then as the mid attacking player..can you play a 4-3-3? Or you play him 4-2-3-1 on the left wing...

I wish it was all that easy.
Götze will never sign for us.
He will stay at Dortmund for 1 or 2 more years before joining a club like Bayern, Man Utd or Real. Arsenal is no option for him.

One of Götzes best mate is Reus, which BVB just signed from Mönchengladbach  so you have to sign both next season
