BARCA V CHAVS

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think the comparison between us being excited/overjoyed about beating sp*rs and the reverse is what we've taken the piss out of over the years isnt exacty true. Any old school Arsenal fan (and im not being disrespectful to new supporters just the ones who come to Arsenal as if its a night at the theatre) will hate sp*rs as much as they hate us. The difference is the only thing they care about is beating us we on the other hand have had bigger fish to fry over the years (until recently :banghead: ) and beating sp*rs was one of the many things we cared about but we did care all the same and still do

Well I'm sure that guy - being a proper gooner - wouldn't really have 'not cared less' that we beat Spurs. Alas he along with many of us can see that there are no longer any 'bigger fishes' to fry so that would have to do. And trust me, tasty as that particular dish was, it's not as fulfilling when you realise there's no dessert and coffee to follow!! :banghead:

I'm just a little bit impressed that you managed to resist the temptation to go the whole hog and suggest my argument was that a championship side could beat barcelona. It must have been tempting. But no, what I am saying is that 45 minutes of the 180 minute tie could be quite plausibly achieved by a championship side.

Chelsea carried a threat first half and scored a brilliant goal which ultimately settled the tie and im not saying a championship would have done that.

I dont know if you watched it but what I saw in that second half was 9 men camped and defending space on their 18 yard box, barely having to move. It doesn't require a footballing harlem globetrotter XI to pull that off and their victory has much to thank Barcelona running out of steam in that second half for.
You're an imbecile pal. Breathtaking idiocy there.
Ok here's another then: feasibly, that pen that Messi missed, Denilson or Chamakh could have scored.

Erm. What's the fecking point anyway?

...what?

Hahahahaha all LDB did was make a simple observation. And yes, Deni or Chamakh COULD have made it.
