Basically my interest in qualifying for the champs league is little short of zero - yes I know all about the impact it would have on keeping rvp plus less income for the club but I dont really give a flying fcuk about the 2nd factor and am not sure that we will keep rvp anyway. I so wish that uefa redesign the champs league cutting down the maximum number of clubs each country can have in the comp to just two (although winners only would be better again) as nowadays all our club targets is the pot of gold coins qualifying brings them and frankly that embarasses me

Au contraire. Monsieur Platini actually wants to expand it to 64 teams and do away with the EL! An 8th place finish could in theory get you a Champions League spot. "Finishing 8th is better than winning the FA Cup"

Personally, I'd rather we were both in the CL next season than neither of us, so I'd take 4th over 5th any day!

Yes, they would have "bragging rights" (retarded bragging rights, btw - as both teams have won fuck all! ) but you know what? we've finished above them for the last 15 years or so, and are the fans happy? no, most are miserable as shit all the time anyway, so this would be just another reason to be miserable!

Very spursian mentality in here, 4th for me.

The only hypothetical time that I would sacrifice Arsenal doing well in favour of spurs doing badly is if they were going to win the league. Provided they dont do that im not overly fussed with where they finish, I'd rather they didnt get in the champions league but I wouldn't cut off my nose to spite my face.
