Its been so said countless times on this thread!!!!!!!!
Go to the station. The police will await gooners and escort them to a designated pub. Most probably the student bar right near the station.

Guys, seriously, just go and enjoy your day. Like previous poster said, its Stoke away, not Iraq or Afgan(although 99% of you may disagree!) I love my away days, especially down your end,12 pins, blackstock(I think?) never any mithers.
Go and have a few beers in the uni bar if your on the train,if your driving, have a look on the third page of this thread and google what I've wrote in it.
But most all,just enjoy it.

Theres 3 of us travelling by car, was wanting to drink with other away fans in the city centre but without knowing for definate where the police will direct them its hard to plan our journey as we would need to find somewhere to park etc for the day.
Would be ideal to leave the car in the city centre and then hopefully find where the away fans pub is and then catch these coaches from there to the ground and back - it saves doing the hour walk to the ground!!
Hoping to get there early for pre match beers!!!

Police direct fans from the station, you could park in the station carpark (just opposite) and wait for a train to come and walk with Arsenal fans or ask one of the police where they are taking away fans. That way you can get the same bus to and from the ground and if they have the police escort to the match again not get stuck in traffic round the stadium so leave Stoke quicker (if your car is still there with 4 wheels
).

Re: Stoke v Arsenal travel, booze, tix etc.
Thats what i was thinking of doing, it seems like the best idea.
What times are everyone trains planned on getting into Stoke? Then i can sort out what time i should leave home to get there at a decent time? Im just not sure if people will be turning up early (10am) or get a train that arrives about 12 ish.
Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.

Better still turn up dressed like an extra from This Is England, get some body piercings, munch on an oatcake or two and you'll be given the freedom of the cityscfc64 wrote:Guys, seriously, just go and enjoy your day. I just rang the 'Ember Lounge' and they told me that away fans are being directed to the 'LRV' which is a student nightclub where the fans can drink there before being put on coaches to the ground.
They said they dont sort out the tickets for the coaches, buses to the ground and back - does anyone know how i would get these as im not going by train il be driving and parking at the station.

The Ember Lounge is right by the station according to Google. I'd just park up at the station, look for where the police are shunting gooners (or just go straight to the ember lounge). Wouldn't have thought you'd need tickets for the coaches/busses seeing as you're being forced to use them! If you do though, it would just be pay on the day I'd've thought.mattyj3nks wrote:I just rang the 'Ember Lounge' and they told me that away fans are being directed to the 'LRV' which is a student nightclub where the fans can drink there before being put on coaches to the ground.

I rang the 'ember lounge' and they said away fans are not going to be sent there, they will be sent to the 'LRV' which is the student nightclub.
Il just park at the station and ask a police officer i guess.

Re: Stoke v Arsenal travel, booze, tix etc.
Whats all this nonsense about Stoke being a barren wasteland.
Its a veritible metropolis ffs - 5 of the biggest green rubbish skips I've ever seen, a sainsburys distribution depot and some ind. estates!!!
What more do you guys want?
And not a 6 fingered neanderthol in sight..........yet!
Gooners are getting very hard to please these days......
Anyway, Harvester OK, full of Arsenal.
Up the Arse.
