When I have seen him play for Rangers he has been one of the better players, know its a poor standard but he gets stuck in and I think thats what we need (loved his tackle against Scott Brown last year). Can play CB or even DM and doesnt get pushed about. Would love to see him given his chance ahead Djourou and Squid.
I agree. 8) He at the very least deserves one season in the first team squad. Mind you, he's not French, European or shite so whether Wenger agrees is another matter!! :banghead: :banghead:

Despite the odd exquisite goal, I'd pretty much written Vela off, but to have got 11 goals from 26 starts for a team 14th in La Liga looks like a decent effort.

Nice to see the world's/Denmark's/Premier League's/Arsenal's/Bendtner family's (delete as appropriate) best striker has managed more than one goal every four games. Who needs RvP?

I rented a car the other week and was served by one of Afobes mates (or so he said) he wants out apparently, frustrated at not getting chance when Chamakh and Park are shit.

Only Ryo and Campbell need to come back really, young players like Nico don't come into it, they are not at the cut stage but players that are only loaned because they have failed in the first team should not come back at all.

Rocky and IHH

See your point about Bartley, all depends whether we buy Vertonghen who plays centre back and defensive midfield.

Afobe?
Not sure he could have expected much first team football this season even if Park and Chamakh are poor, as he had a serious injury for most of the season and likely the club felt regular football on loan was better for him to get his sharpness back in preference to the odd 5 minutes off the bench?

I would have thought that 2012 - 2013 is the one where Afobe, Aneke and Yennaris push their claims to be a regular bench player, in the way that Coquelin has done this past season.

I agree, I told his so called mate that he should be patient but he turned it round that he had seen Gibbs and Wilshere break through.

Could all be bulshit off course.

I don't know much about the lad but I have to say that if the club consider those two fucking clowns ahead of him then I don't blame him for wanting out

I think I would prefer Lee Chapman at his current age than either of those two useless pricks

SteveO 35 wrote:We've currently got 19 players out on loan. For my money the vast majority of these have either had enough opportunity to prove themselves and are simply not good enough, or are in the 'never will be' category

Which ones would you take back and which ones do you want us to allow to leave?

Keep

Ryo - he's shown enough on loan at Bolton to warrant a chance - not a regular starter but should be used as a rotational choice next season (god knows he looks a better bet than Gervinho)

Joel Campbell - enough promise. Perhaps loan him out again or introduce him gradually from the bench / Beer Cup games

Nico Yennaris - thought this kid showed a lot of heart and ability against some decent oppo when he had his chance. We are still short at right back anyway

Allowed to leave

Vela - seen enough to know he'll never cope with the physical demands in this country. Stay in Spain
Arshavin - lazy and disinterested
Bendtner - being better than Maryanne and SQP is not enough.
Lansbury - we need a radical overhaul in midfield and although I quite like the lad, I don't think he has the star quality needed
Mannone - one of the three stooges that are a total fucking embarrassment behind Chesney
Denilson - need I say more
Bartley - he's been around long enough and we've signed several centre halves ahead of him. If he's not ready yet will he ever be?
Eastmond - just not good enough. His loan teams are getting worse
Watt - on loan at Leeds, now Crawley !! Is that progress ?
Murphy - never going to be good enough. He's another who has been around long enough

Don't know enough about them to judge
Botelho
Aneke
Galindo
Wellington
Afobe
Hajrovic
Some of the allowed to leave players we may be stuck with just loaning out again next season. Bartley, Bendtner, Vela and Lansbury must have some value to another club though, just whether their wages are too high to block a deal.

Joel Campbell probably will have to go out on loan again as he is young and may still not be allowed to play in UK.

i would get rid of all our loanees except for Ryo.The trouble is Wenger has given Bender Vela and Denilshit massive long term contracts so we are stuck with them.Even if we loan them out again we are still paying their wages.they will not leave and take a 60% wage cut
