Sardinia Summer of 1971 - we'd just won the double - I was in my teens dating a model who was 2 years older than me - she was loaded and kept buying me prezzies! AND she was feckin' Gorgeous....her father owned a villa out there with a private beach etc , and we had it free for 8 weeks - no tourists back then - it was "The" BEST time ever - shagging all day & night - Vino from his private cellar....no street lights, traffic etc...Peaceful Bliss and Sex, Sex Sex for 8 weeks...we even shagged on the roof one night - then her parents turned up and fecked it up (mind you here mother was very nice Milf totty who walked around starkers all day - like mother like daughter!)...I returned to Blighty as I had to start college etc getting smashed and seeing bands Aaaah (sigh) those were the days...

Did alot of lads hols with the mates in my 20's to Ibiza, A-Dam, Canaries, Portugal etc and a good few away days in Europe with Arsenal.
But my favourite two hols were my Honeymoon to Cyprus and Egypt in 2002 and then in 2006 my entire family - Dad, Mom, my wife, my kids and my 3 brothers and their wives/GF's rented a big 6 bedroom Villa for two weeks in Portugal. It was massive, a mansion really, and had it's own pool, all rooms on-suite, in a lovely quiet area just outside Mosquera, a small farming community situated amongst the low, rolling hills and vineyards between Olhos D’Agua and Albufeira in the western half of the Algarve.
It was an expensive, (€1500 a week off-peak, when we went, and €5000 a week peak) one-off treat for my father, who had recently suffered a major stroke and wanted the whole big family holiday thing while it was still possible, as his health was worsening. We all had a fantastic time; my kids loved swimming every day in the large pool, the villa was comfortable and air conditioned, the local food was outstanding and the surrounding countryside was beautifully scenic. Oh, and the missus and I had lots of willing babysitters on hand!! Result.
We (the men of the family) watched the second leg of our CL semi-final in a cool little Canadian bar on the Montechoro strip and I'll always remember myself and the bro's going back to the Villa at 6am the next morning, all pissed up and just jumping fully clothed into the pool singing Arsenal songs. My dad was sat on the balcony in his weelchair smiling away and it's one of my best memories of him.

almost got a lump in my throat but i think that was the thought of you going at it with your wife while others babysat
