Oh to dream...

Technically even Stoke, Norwich, Swansea and Sunderland are not yet safe
sorry to be a pedant (and I know no one cares) but we are safe. We've got 44 points. Wolves can't catch us obviously, Blackburn have 31 points with 3 games to play and so can only get to 40 points and, whilst Bolton on 33 could overtake us due to having 4 games left (and thus being able to get to 45 points), Wigan who are currently one point ahead of Bolton on 34 only have 3 games to play and so they could only get to 43, one behind us. Thus Wolves, Blackburn and Wigan can't catch us and so we're guaranteed 4th bottom at worst. As I say, no one cares, don't even know why I wrote this, I bore meself sometimes
F'king leave Sunderland out of this .....Villa will beat Scum (please), Blackburn will beat Scum (please) and Ryo will score his prem hatrick at (temp) home against Scum, so that makes things complicated as to who goes down... :rubchin:
Okay....looks like QPR and Wigan then....????

Full marks to Norwich and Swansea staying up this year, and posting some impressive results while doing it. Particularly Swansea, who have played some beautiful football on a budget. Great story.

Wolves are relegated, so there's no point discussing that. I wouldn't mind seeing Blackburn go down, though I do like seeing Canadian Junior Hoilett in the Prem. QPR I have no feelings towards. Never liked Wigan as a club - mainly because their kits are hideous every year - but I like their fight this year and I also respect Martinez a lot as a manager.

Have to feel a little bad for Villa, because they are spiralling downhill. Weren't they almost in the CL a few seasons ago? How times have changed.

To be honest the teams I want down are already there - namely Birmingham and Cardiff.

For that reason alone, nothing against the Villa .. Get that 'eck of a foul-mouthed wannabe manager out of the premiership.

Even now he's hatching a plan to take over from Woy at nearby WBA. Next year the cycle gets repeated and having successfully relegated all Birmingham-based teams he looks just a little further afield at....Stoke?
Still technically in the Midlands...

Mcleish in my eyes is the worst manager in the PL era.

I've never seen such levels of negativity from a manager.

He undermines players confidence, bores his own supporters to the brink of despair, will put 10 men behind the ball at the 3-0 down, bores opposition supporters to the brink of despair, and claimed the tackle on eduardo was a good one.

I dislike Mcleish so so much.

Lerner made an awful decision hiring him, and the truth is he got that job because we gifted them the carling cup :-P

Our players and manager should apologise to villa fans for putting them in this mess.

Fuck, I'd love it if they went down. Somehow haven't been to Villa Park yet but will be able to in the future.

But surely you'd miss Emile Heskey, "empty seats m'lord" and "' 'ave yow won the European Cup"

What a sad, pathetic club. At least they'll be more at home with all the Little Club Charter protectors in the Championship

Quite like going to the away games in the North, equally never been to Villa park, although I don't like them. So on balance for me I would prefer Wolves, QPR, because can't stand them and Stoke hopefully (if I have done the Maths correctly they could still technically be relegated, but pretty unlikely.) We could help in that cause by stuffing them this afternoon.

During the premierships tenure Viila are actually in 5th place for accumalated points

Its quite interesting to see over the years how some clubs (Coventry for example) are still in the top 20 despite next season going to be in the third tier.
