STOKE RFC THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So when Crouch nods one in from a throw in the first 10 minutes you heard it here first :D

Mate, this is one of those write the script three weeks before, games :( We're about as well equppied for Stoke as a mountain climber in T-shirt, shorts and trainers attempting the north face of the fucking Eiger :( I'm going to a good old fashioned pub with no tv and leaving my phone firmly in my pocket saturday afternoon. Going to delay the inevitable news for as long as possible. Wrong team at the wrong time to be playing :banghead: Really praying to be eating my words this time tomorrow but far more likely to be eating a comfort takeaway to cheer me up :(

could be right.

Can't see Sp*rs & Newcasle winning 4 in a row (Sp*rs because they're in free fall & geordies because they've got a tough run in).

4pts should do it.

Need 6pts to get 3rd though, just in case... well, you know... :(
I am thinking that as long as Chelsea make it 4th, we are fine. Our biggest threat is getting 4th and blue scum winning CL.

If anyone fancies cheering themselves up, the main article on Arsenal.com this morning entitled:

'We are confident that we have the mental strength required'

C'mon Arsenal! We need 3 points today. If RvP gets a goal, we win for sure! :barscarf:

We can expect the usual aerial bombardment from the Orcs today. But we've been looking solid in defence recently. They need to keep up the good work.

And here's an encouraging snippet from Arseblog this morning....."Here's a great stat: Szczesny has dealt with 98.5% of all the crosses he's come for this season".

Fingers crossed for a win. I'm expecting a draw.

SteveO 35 wrote:So we know that Arteta and Walcott are out for the season now, we know that Maryanne and SQP won't play another minute this season, Wilshere is also out and no doubt after an average performance by the Ox, the GIC will be banging on about 'nurturing him' and 'burnout' (after 15 games :banghead: )

So the team at the Britannia

Ches, Sagna, Kos, TV5, Gibbs, Song, Ramsey, Rosicky, Benayoun, Gervinho, RvP

That midfield hardly inspires does it. I think I'll watch the game on x4 speed so that it actually looks like we're not walking all the time
As predicted a week ago !! Well done Arsene - we can't have the Ox getting burnt out now can we ?

Stoke missing their first choice right back but I guessed that's escaped his attention. Now lets get ready for the paceless wonders slow passing exhibition from side to side in front of the Stoke back line.

I see they've started with the "swing low sweet chariot" stuff already, that was almost funny the first time they did it :rubchin:
