STOKE RFC THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Comments about the away fans I think. Probably preferred the quiet of the Stoke fans for large parts of the game.

Great result, ok we were playing a shit team but we aint that great at rugby ourselves so in all honesty to come away with a point from a team that also got a point against us, a top three team is quite good. Lee Dixon is also a Stoke fan so I always have had a soft spot for them.

What he say
Stoke manager Pulis refused to criticise his club's supporters but accepted there is a problem regarding abuse from the stands.
"It is very difficult for us all," he said. "I go to grounds and get abused.
"It's not just Arsene. If you speak to Sir Alex [Ferguson], he gets absolutely slaughtered at some grounds. Is it acceptable? The powers-that-be have got to decide that."
On the boos aimed at Ramsey, he added: "I was more concerned about the Arsenal supporters booing Shawcross so I didn't hear the ones on Ramsey."

Fans were great today - throwing rugby balls around, then the Stoke fans had a big inflatable rugby ball of their own.
But they showed their lack of class when singin "He breaks what he wants" about Shawcross and booing Ramsey

Gervinho is just awful. Was all over the place today - left, right, middle, ususlly trying to avoid the ball. When he did get it he done fcuk all. Winger? Winger my bollocks. Cant take a man on and fire in a cross. Get possession, approaches the defender, stops, turns around, goes back and passes to someone or loses the ball. Total, absolute waste of a shirt. Very close to being as bad as Arseshavin. Another year? Jesus this guy is turd.
We were all convinced he was actively trying to as avoid the ball. Missed a nailed on glorious header and had a chance in the second half to put in a decent cross but just let the ball get away and go for a goal kick.

Ramsey got superb support from us today and while his performance improved from the Chelski match it was fcuk all to get excited about. Couldn't hit a donkeys arse with a fcukin banjo.

Song was the usual enigma again - some good tackles, some shocking god-awful passes, trying that hollywood chipped pass into the box that has worked for him a couple of times, usual yellow card, losing possession too often etc, etc...

Rosicky was "busy", looked like he was uop for it. Sanga was good - he's great header of the ball and played well with no help from the Klingon.

RVP - Just have to keep him. Gibbs played well too. Thank fcuk Santos didn't start ahead of him.

Wengers subs again? - Why the OX didn't get put on for Big nut is a fcuking disgrace.

Anyway hey ho - onwards and upwards

Bet if it was us signing Marin, "he's too weak", "I'm a keen Bundesliga follower and he's rubbish", "what a waste of £6.5mil, we could have signed Ba for that!", is all we would be hearing from you.
Perhaps I should listen to savants like Flash Gooner, you know, an outstanding intellectual mind who comes out with gems like 'Guardiola is a crap manager'...ha ha ha

Marin my point, is that he is far FAR better than Gervinho, than Diaby, and than any playmaker I have seen play for Arsenal this season. None of the braindeads slating the deal right now can say different. It's funny though, because like I said, it is comedians like Flash, McDowell etc...who have spent this season telling us that Mertesacker 'has 70 caps for Germany' bla bla bla without being able to engage the one brain cell between them to realise that he's actually complete turd.

The whole of Germany laughed when we signed Mertesacker too. For £8 mil. After watching that hilarious manner in which he injured himself, too slow to do a stepover the ball, they're still laughing.

Classic trait of idiotic Arsenal fans to write off the signings other teams make, but when we sign e.g. Chamakh, Mertesacker etc it's 'this signing will need time to acclimatize to a ne wleague'. Why does the same not apply to Marin though?

Oh I know. Because it's hard for an idiotic argument to have any consistency.

Arsene Wenger was an absolute fucking embarrassment at Stoke today. This clown has no business managing Arsenal, he disgraces the great name. How I laughed as Lineker, Hansen et al absolutely shredded Wenger on MOTD. His pathetic arm-waving and graceless berating of the fourth official is a total farce, and makes a farce of Arsenal FC. He's a classless joke, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching him humiliated in jest in front of the whole watching UK audience.
What an absolute tit Wenger is.

Still, his lovers in arms (hi Flash, McDowell) will be here soon to cup his testicles as they sing Hosannah to their King of Kings...

You know full well Flash wants Wenger sacked, so why make out he loves the bloke? :?

That's WUM behaviour, and you know it. Just take a chill pill, and calm down. Or even better, just go to bed.
