Arsenal Artillery 1886

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yeah, funny that : Once it became obvious how much time and effort goes into things like this, how many meetings, loss of drinking time etc are needed for even the smallest things, it kinda ran out of steam.

perhaps redaction could do something more productive than brown nosing the club, and help rather than spending their time getting forums closed?

Indeed. What do RedAction do? They've done nothing for the atmosphere at the ground recently. If they think the improvement is down to them, they're as deluded as Wenger. The improvement came from the Spurs turnaround 2 nil down, 5 2 up and from the barn-storming efforts from Vermaelen, VP, Rosicky, Kos, Scez etc. RedAction are a poodle of the Club. They get stroked and patted once a season when they suggest some innocuous day like "Emmanuel Eboue Day".

While I for one would like to see RA do more, I think a lot of the criticism is a tad harsh - I don't think they view, or portray, themselves as continental type ultras doing tifo displays every game, and I think both TheCook and AlanAlanSunderland come across well on here.

But I would like to see them do more/try and push a bit, while from my own experiences I understand that's easier said than done.

Just a reminder, this thread is actually about the 'new' atmosphere group which was formed and then dissolved almost immediately; But I guess as most of the clique bought into that, we can just sweep under the carpet and do some good old fashioned REDaction bashing instead.

Tbf though mate, would you not concede that it is easy to see where some people have turned against your organisation ? I have total respect for alanalan for the way he posts on here explaining his point of view but at the same time I am def one of those that does not trust any group that is way too cosy with the club to be in any way effective
