Although nothing surprises me with this club these days, my initial reaction to this is that it's a cover story. The club are saying this to make certain that Jack doesn't play at the Olympics and to stop all this talk about him being back in time for it. I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't be fit for August.

This is what id like to think but knowing the track record our medical dept have i reckon it could be next year never mind next season,Think rosicky tv5 diaby and how for months they were only 2/3 weeks away from coming back

That was my immediate reaction to. I bloody hope so anyway.
Pingu was right, Jack is fucked big time. I wonder would he have a case for actually sueing Wenger for wrecking his career through downright negligence.
One thing that is for certain is that the route to fitness is going to be a complex one for Jack. We've seen with Diaby, Ramsey and Eduardo that long running complicated injuries can lead to complications further down the line - whether repeat injuries, loss of confidence, fatigue etc. What is for certain is that it will be completely unrealistic to expect the lad to play 40+ games next season and maybe half that number. Rosicky lost 2 years from football and even the Verminator had lots of little "two, maybe three weeks" injuries on his way back. Gibbs is another
So with that in mind and with the lack of invention in midfield so apparent this season what does Wenger intend to do about it? Close his eyes and cross his fingers that Wilshere and Diaby stay fit all season?
I don't want any excuses from him about Wilshere's ongoing problems next season. Its another elephant in Wenger's office and needs addressing this Summer.
ive posted this before, knowing jacks grandparents from the hitchin area, they have said that jack himself says he was overtrained by arsenal when first coming back from this injury and thats whats f*cked him up ever since.

That is the reason of most of our 'un-expected' injuries ... We try to get players back as soon as possible, because we keep our squad thin .. causes more injuries to recovering players and puts playing members in the red zone from lack of rest ..
Yet Arsene, still believes having a thin squad on high wages is better than having a bigger squad on less wages .. we could learn a lot from Manure in that department !
