It could be a close race, despite opinion polls giving Boris the lead.

I am going for Boris.
Just cannot stomach Ken Livingstone; he says many of the right things but I dislike his annoying voice, his Middle East involvement and his pie in the sky idea of cutting travel fares yet somehow finding the cash to build a new DLR line.

Dont get me wrong, I dont like him or trust him, but as I said in the other political thread I feel he is the lesser of two evils. And honestly think a vote for paddick of any of the indys is a wasted vote. Its a two horse race and im backing the red donkey.

Ken is an egomaniac ten years past his sell-by-date. He is a compulsive liar too (paying Company tax on personal income). Promises about cuts to travel costs is utter bullshit.

Boris Johnson all the way. Livingstone is the worst type of politician - interested in one thing only, himself. Stabbed his own party in the back 12 years ago when he didn’t get the nomination for Mayoral candidate (remember the whole “I’ll never stand against my party” – two weeks later he does so). Stabbed Andrew McIntosh in the back for leadership of the GLC. Frequently casts aspersions against his political opponents in his usual snide way. Then makes out he is ‘Mr Nice Guy’ - and amazingly some people are daft enough to fall for it. Vile individual and hopefully he’ll get what he deserves tomorrow.
