Sod's law
Wouldn't it be the biggest irony if............ In the Summer that Wenger is planning to rip up the squad and go for glory, we then fail to make the Champions League? With Podolski signed and Vertonghen on his way, it seems that Wenger (unbelievably) may have decided to buy proven talent. But it would be just our luck that we come 4th or 5th. The Board withdraws the money from the transfer budget and players don't want to join us anyway.

Re: Sod's law
Are you still banging that drum about Vertonghen
Re: Sod's law
Yes, probably
I must admit, I don't feel like we're on the cusp of a successful new era... I just see more gloom on the horizon irrespective of where we end up this season.
Could all hinge on Van Persie. He goes, then it's just another merry-go-round summer. We need to build.

Could be ironic.
Could be third place.
As New York Mayor Ed Koch said in Style Wars, "Time Will Tell".
