DB10GOONER wrote:Surely the salient point is we've been here before. Winning games and climbing the ladder.

The problem is that when we have an opportunity to strengthen the team in January (so we can cope with late season injuries and player fatigue - the very things that have fucked our seasons for the last 4 or 5 years) Wenger will not take that opportunity because at the time we will probably be flying along and he'll announce grandly how great we are and how much belief we have etc etc etc.

BUT then comes February, March and April. We will pick up injuries to key players, other vital players will get tired and/or lose form. And our season collapses once again.

Yet we have some idiots on here now announcing that all is well because we have won a handful of games with our best two or three players fully fit and firing on all cylinders.

Save the patronising bollocks about how Arsene turned it all around until next March. Then let's see what you say.

Don't get me wrong - I'm loving every minute of this current run and I hope it goes on and on and good old Lord Vader proves me wrong. But I can see the bigger picture and I firmly believe Wenger will fuck up this season by his innactivity in January. Again. :(
THIS THIS THIS.

I could kiss ya! (errrr not in that way though!)

The Totts looked very comfortable winning tonight. Villa seemed a pale shadow of themselves or a usual McLeish bully-boy outfit but that was a complete breeze for Sp*rs.The addition of Friedel, Parker and the version of Ade that puts the effort in has given them that bit of extra composure to complement the talents of Chimpy, Modric and the Fart. We're improving but they still look better than us right now.

If we don't get savaged by injuries prior to it, Arsenal will beat the Sp*rs in the next game. You have my word.

I'm a little giddy with our current form, but I honestly think the team is confident and I think they'll owe Sp*rs one when we meet next. Don't expect us to take them so lightly next time around.

And hopefully RVP stamps Ade on his twat face.

since I joined here in September I think it is fair to say that our league form has on the whole has been fantastic.
who would have thought that we would be in 3rd place with 2 games to go?

I thought back in the dark days of autumn that we would reach the top 4 and although it will still be difficult this goal is clearly in view now.

Cmon fella. This statement is ridiculous!

We are back in dark days. In the most important part of the season against easy opposition we have scored 2 goals in 3 games and earnt 2 points out of a possible 9.

This isnt good at all and it’s a true reflection of the season.

as we are still in 3rd place we are not back in dark days.
as for the past 3 games well wigan have also beaten Man Utd recently and this forums favourite team of the moment - Newcastle 4-0.
we drew against the CL finalists 0-0 and then away at Stoke where none of the top sides have won this season. This comes on the back of a long winning run. these are not dark days.
