Arsenal v Norwich
Re: Arsenal v Norwich
Yep, agree with all of that. Unfortunately I can't hit them in the pocket as I can't afford to go anymore. But, something has to be done and soon. Anyone know if anything happened during the so-called 'lap of appreciation'?

McLeish would probably rather be relegated than do Arsenal a favour....g88ner wrote:Can't see it happening though. Citeh (h) and Everton (a) is tough.Rosie_titters wrote:we shit end off, please pray Newcastle get 3rd
All eyes on Villa Park tomorrow... we need a HUGE favour from the brummies
Not enough passion from our players today...listening to it on 5live I was amazed we even got it back to 2-2...cannot see Spuds messing up another chance , We may get fourth and sweat over the Champions League Final...and my gut feeling is we will be dissappointed there as well.
Apart from not reaching the Champions League and all the jokes about Channel 5 and Thursday football there is also the disadvantage of playing Sunday Football .Always playing catch-up.
This has been an awful season , loses at Fulham and Blackburn when winning seemed easier, losing at home to the worst Liverpool team in decades, the 8-2 at Old Trafford. We glossed over it with a few decent runs, but next Sunday we will finish the season wehere we deserve to finish it.
The bigger question is what will be done to change things for next season? My belief is there will be very little done. We will hear excuses but in reality who will want to join a team not in the Champions League...This time last year the answer to that would have been, Stewart Downing, Charlie Adam and Henderson.... NO THANKS

Most laughable excuse I have heard all day.Rosie_titters wrote:don't understand why we had to play today - knowing our result really gives Tottenham and Newcastle a big advantage
why didn't we play tomorrow, like everyone else
Superb, take a bow son! Straight from the Wenger book of bullshit excuses...

THIS WAS PROMOTED NORWICH AT HOME.
And if we'd won today, the advantage woulda been ours and the pressure all on Spuds.

For years now this has been as painfully obvious as Gervinho trying to hide in a balaclava. No coach worth their salt would watch the same calamities happening year upon year and either not see it or think the answer is to do nothing. Putting every other Wenger failure over the last 4+ years to the side, that alone should be a sackable offence.Dan_85 wrote:Spineless, gutless, pathetic, bottling performance and the worst thing is it wasn't at all a surprise. Our attitude fucking stinks & we can't deal with pressure. Not a chance of us ever winning the league again under Wenger, no killer instinct. Gervinho is so bad, cut our losses now & get what we can for him. Ramsey is a total plodder who always wants 3 touches too many. When Ox replaced him it all changed, the kid actually wants to take people on & drive towards goal. Of course that's all well & good but if you can't hold it together at the back as well its pointless. I've been saying for a while that its no longer the personnel in our back 4 to blame, its the fact they get absolutely zero defensive coaching. I'd get George Graham & Martin Keown in to drill them relentlessly.
So we gift wrap 3rd spot for spurs & give it to em on a plate with a very good chance that we won't even play CL football next season. Fuck this shit.

Assumed it was a break at the time the way it happened. Hope it's just an unlucky coincidence and not a permanent weakness from the earlier break. One of the few who earns the right to wear the shirt week in week out, even when he's not having a great game.

Arsène Wenger confirms to @JohnCrossMirror that Bacary Sagna has broken his leg. #WBA game and Euro's. big blow.
Re: Arsenal v Norwich
Master plan from Arsene to put pressure on Spuds and Newcastle.
Re: Arsenal v Norwich
When we went on the "mini winning run" its no co-incidence that we'd absolutely nothing to play for - conceiveably out of all competitions. Therefore no pressure. Handbrake off.
Then because of the good run we were in contention for the "top four trophy." Therefore pressure on. What happens - we capitulate. Soon as the going gets tough we bottle it.
No point blaming individual players - Gerv has been muck all season, (but second half today surprisingly he was pretty good, doing what a winger should. Taking on his man and providing a decent cross). Ramsey, Song Walcott et al. We all know we have average players.........
The problem is - firstly buying these average players and paying them stupid money. Then secondly - getting decent performances from average players.
Good managers can motivate and coach an average team and get above average performances from them. Our manager buys average players, overpays them and expects them to play above their ability..........without adequate coaching and motivation.
The problem at Arsenal is not rocket science, its Arsene Wenger. Unfortunately for all the good hes done, hes un-doing it at an alarming rate. I have no doubt he'll embarrass us all again today and blame the ref. (The ref was shit today but not the reason we didn't win)
I know I did say that we should not single out individual players and that our re-capitulation started as soon as we were looking nailed on for the "top four trophy" and the "pressure" that come with it but I really cannot ignore the fact Ramseys return has also coincided with a real lack of urgency and incisive passing, with the sloww, slow, slower, stop shit we all hate.
Really lads the problem is Wenger. If todays result and possibly not qualifying for a competition we wont win under his inept strewardship brings about more pressure on him then so be it. Every cloud.......
Wenger OUT!

We have a manager who doesnt do defence.its now 47 goals conceded this season.Unthinkable
The buck stops with Wenger. its now 3 pts out of 12 in our last 4 games
Its time for Wenger to go even if we do creep into the top 4

FUCKING HELL. I wil ask again: what is this **** paid £7 mil a year for? How many PL managers have a better defensive record than this please? What a joke.
Re: Arsenal v Norwich
As far as I'm concerned, Wenger has undone all the good work he did in his first 7 years. He's turned us into a joke. We have no bottle, defensive spine and no winning mentality and that is all thanks to him. We have lost our identity and what made us a proud club and that is down to him as well. Fuck him and fuck anyone who backs him.

WATCH HIS LAZY ASS JOG BACK ON BOTH OF THEIR FIRST TWO GOALS AS IF HE DOESNT GIVE A SHIT. HE MAKES DENILSON LOOK LIKE USAIN FUCKING BOLT!
I posted on here NUMEROUS times that a soon as Ramsey comes back from his injury we would drop form.... AND LOOK WHAT HAS FUCKING HAPPENED! NO FUCKING SURPRISE!
Ramsey was poor today but he was not THE reason for this result. I understand that you don't like Ramsey but he is just one player who is (at least at the moment) not good enough. Just one player of many. Szczesny, Song, Gervinho were all not good enough. The defence was all over the place. Koscielny should have conceded a penalty. Vermaelen couldn't stop a player (don't remember who it was) who then had just the goalkeeper to beat. Don't want to go on 'cause I think you get what I want to say. Blame Ramsey for his poor performanes but don't forget to blame half of the team, too.

Excellent post. I agree with 99% of it, if you could keep up this standard without the gratuitous insults to everyone around you, you'd be one of the best posters on here.Babatunde wrote:I am going to say a few things here and believe me, it gives me no pleasure to say these things, but someone needs to have the balls to admit it. Arsenal are in all likelihood, going to be playing Europa League football next season. Picture that for a moment.
We might probably finish behind Spuds. Again, picture that for a minute. Actually, we might finish behind Newcastle. Again, fancy that.
A few facts for you here:
Spuds wage bill is a reported £76 million. Harry Redknapp's wages are reported as being between £2.5 and £3 million a season.
Newcastle's wage bill is even lower, after ditching their high earners last summer, they now spend a little over a reported £53 million a year on wages. Alan Pardew, their manager, is drawing a salary of £1.5 million a season.
Now let us get to Arsene Wenger FC.
A wage bill that went up in the past year to over £125 million.
The manager is on wages of £7.5 million a season.
Arsenal are the fifth most valuable club in European (and world) football.
Arsenal's matchday revenue, is the highest of any club in Europe.
Arsenal moved to a 60,000 al-seater futuristic dome 'to compete with the biggest clubs in Europe'.
And yet, Spuds and Newcastle will probably finish ahead of Arsenal.
Even if just the Spuds finish ahead of us, and we get 4th, Chelski can have no greater motivation to win the Champions League than the knowledge that winning it would relegate their London rivals to the Europa League.
Arsene Wenger has every single advantage in the book that any manager could want to be competing for the league title and European cup. He has a non-interfering board. He has oodles of cash at his disposal. He has been in the league for over 15 years, so knows it inside out.
Yet Arsenal have lost a QUARTER of their league games this season.
A team in yellow shirts came to the Emirates and danced the samba like Brazil, scoring 3 times at pleasure, and could have scored so many more. Only later did I realise that it was in fact Norwich, and not Brazil.![]()
And do you know what?
The biggest people to blame in this sorry pathetic, incompetent mess are the Arsenal fans.
Arsenal fans are getting the piss-poor team they deserve, and getting the manager they deserve.
This season, a pathetic club like the Spuds have had many many fans calling for their manager Redknapp, to go. Reason? They are unhappy at the way he faded away in the title race. Unhappy with his January transfer business.
At BIG clubs, there are standards. Not excuses.
Yet Arsenal is strangely different. Arsene Wenger has won nothing for 7 years and that is UNACCEPTABLE full-stop.
The fans at Arsenal as far back as 2008, should have been showing serious dissent, there should have been protests and boycotts of games. Instead what do you get at Arsenal?
A bunch of passive fans who make excuses.
Rubbish like Gervinho is signed and it's 'give him a year to adapt'
Uh huh. We've been waiting for players to 'adapt' for 7 years and counting.
Wenger abuses the fans with his 'half a day in football' and 'I'll do what I choose' nonsense, and jokers defend him.
He continues to do whatever he likes and comes under no pressure from the fans.
There are people who are weak-willed, and like to use the excuse that the fans 'can do nothing'
Yet it's funny, because at every other serious club, when the fans decide to mobilise and show dissatisfaction, things happen. The Scousers managed to get a whole board booted out of their club. AC Milan fans have got managers sacked. The Roma fans right now, are going to get Luis Enrique sacked.
Man United fans would never put up with paying the highest ticket prices in Europe, and enduring a ridiculous summer like we just did in the market.
In fact, not even Spuds would.
Only Arsenal fans shell out their money, do nothing, watch the manager and board take the proverbial. And know what? All that excuse-making culture Arsenal fans have been showing for the past 7 years is coming home to roost now. Arsenal have gone further backwards than anyone could ever have imagined, and it is only going to get worse after Van Persie buggers off.
And you have all sat back, paid your big monies, made excuses and let it happen. Well done. And it's richly deserved.
Wenger has been allowed to drag this great club down to such a disgusting level.
You have wastrels like Diabolical Diaby drawing sick money out of the club for being in the infirmary.
You have Denilson, Bendtner, Gervinho, Shitachi.
You have Song, who thinks he is a number 10, who has never been disciplined in his life.
You have disgusting attitude performances, where the team is a reflection of its arrogant manager - think WIgan at home, strutting out, thinking it was won before a ball was kicked.
And know what? The players act like c**** because our passive fans blow smoke up their arse and let them.
You have a bunch of comedians blowing smoke up Chesney's arse. Did you see that 'performance' today? I've seen better performances from Fabianski FFS. Pathetic.
There can be ZERO excuses for the summer in the transfer market Wenger, Gazidis et al just had.
There can be NO excuses for the thousands who will just idiotically hand their ST money over to the club and use the weak willed excuse 'ooooooh I get to the back of the queue'.
Hand over your money, and you'll continue to endorse the deterioration of once great and proud institution.
It is sad and an absolute DISGRACE what is going on at Arsenal.
The fans have the power to change this.
Stop fucking accepting 3rd place.
Stop your bullshit 'Mind the gap' bollocks with the Spuds. It's an embarrassment, we should not even be looking at them they should be shit off our shoes. We should be up there competing with Manure like we once did, and in Europe we should have a rivalry with Bayern, Madrid or Barca with the resources at our disposal.
Instead we have mindless saps showing off about 'mind the gap' when we spend over 35% more a year on wages than Spuds. Fucking ridiculous.
You've let Wenger drag us into this mess.
You can continue letting him drag us down further still, as those of us who saw this coming have been saying.
Or, you could do something about it - and you can - and ensure that NEVER EVER AGAIN, is one individual allowed to become more powerful than Arsenal FC. And that never again can one overpaid sap be unaccountable to those who pay his wages and who are the lifeblood of the club: THE FANS.
Alternatively, you can sit here, bitch about Norwich (a recently promoted side), bitch about the refs, moan about penalties, moan about the grass, bitch about bad luck etc...
And watch us go down further still.
What is it the AKBs say again?
'Who else would you replace Arsene with'?
Answer: with any of the four managers above him in the league table, the novice manager who has made a European cup final with Chelski, or any of the several managers with a better record than zero trophies in 7 years.
Rant over.
You are getting the team you deserve and the manager you deserve.
