Bacary Sagna's hilarious leg break
I had to listen to the first half of today's match on 909. When Sagna went down injured the commentators (Taylor and ?) were quick to mention that the lad went down with nobody around him. They then spent a couple of minutes laughing at Sagna before it was pointed out to them that he had already suffered a leg break this season. They then dismissed this injury as not a leg break.
The BBC are treating Arsenal and its staff disgracefully. Laughing at a player who has just broken his leg while he is stricken on the ground is just plain wrong.

Re: Bacary Sagna's hilarious leg break
what dicks. the one time you can usually tell when a player's genuinelly injured, is when they go down with noone anywhere near them.
ESPECIALLY when they've actually got the ball in a decent position!

Tell me about it. I don't mean a quick giggle. These pricks spent a good couple of minutes laughing at Sagna and taking the piss. New low.
Re: Bacary Sagna's hilarious leg break
Sagna went down twice, he was injured the ball came to him and he still got up to clear the ball. I thought he had pulled a muscle as he managed to get up. If he cleared the ball with a broken leg I am impressed. We missed him once he went off today.

You could see when he went down that something bad had happened.

i didn't spot that_James_ wrote:Sagna went down twice, he was injured the ball came to him and he still got up to clear the ball. I thought he had pulled a muscle as he managed to get up. If he cleared the ball with a broken leg I am impressed. We missed him once he went off today.

one other thing, wenger's blaming it on on someone standing on his leg a bit before.. anyone catch that?

Havent had a chance to watch the tv yet so are you guys telling me that sagna has broken his leg again ??
I knew it looked serious when he went down with nobody near him but surely not a leg break ?

It doesn't surprise me in what is becoming a tortuous season. I wonder if they were laughing when Muamba went down.
Aside from this, I reckon with this break that 6 of the last leg breaks in the PL were Arsenal players. Is there a point where bad luck stops becoming bad luck?
Sagna
Sagna
Ramsey
Nasri (admit this was one of out own doing)
Diaby
Eduardo
I made the other two to be Bobby Zamora and the Aston Villa guy who I can't remember. But really can't remember many others?

Wonder if the high incidence of injuries to Arsenal players is anyway related to the number of refereeing decisions to go against the team? Referees such as Mike Dean let players get away with murder against Arsenal.
The FA absolutely hate the club and Wenger.

If you're going to make excuses for Wenger at least come up with some decent ones. That is just downright embarrassing matey.

It's true though mate, there are countless examples of refereeing bias against the club. That 'debateable decisions' website proves this and even it misses out some clear decisions that went against us. Referees in this division are a joke, simple as. To pick one example, Rooney has not received a single yellow card this season and yet in every single game I've seen either live or on MotD (not that I'll be watching that anymore) you can quite clearly see him mouthing off toward one of the officials with numerous swear words thrown into his speech. It's a joke, it really is.I Hate Hleb wrote:Rosicky's Right Boot wrote:Wonder if the high incidence of injuries to Arsenal players is anyway related to the number of refereeing decisions to go against the team? Awful news.
I honestly though he snapped his achilles when he went down and I saw his foot twitch in mid air.
Can't believe 606 commentary found the incident funny!

The Rooney bit is true, I've seen him mouth off to officials in games against us. I'm not one of these PC twats who cry about stuff like that but it should be one rule for all, if one of our players did that he'd be booked.Rosicky's Right Boot wrote:It's true though mate, there are countless examples of refereeing bias against the club. In their defence, you see people like Drogba and countless others roll around as if they were shot when they're actually perfectly fine.Cockerill's chin wrote:I had to listen to the first half of today's match on 909. Presumably, they just assumed Sagna was being a typical modern day footballer and making a big deal out of nothing?
I know WE know Sagna would never do that, but maybe the commentators were ignorant to that, and just saw a johnny foreigner rolling around for no reason and were therefore not taking it seriously?
