The showdown v the Baggies

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We blew it against Wigan, had another chance today blown it, Spurs will win tomorrow and likely Newcastle will get a point. Spurs have been gifted the chance and will grab it against a team thats fallen apart , we might yet finnish 5th.... and all our own fault!

i think we will get 4th, and then Chelsea will win the CL, so it will be a double kick in the guts - Tottenham finish ahead of us and then we don't get CL football.

But hey wenger can boast he has always finished in the top 4 :banghead: :banghead:

If any team can feck up the game at West Brom it's Arsenal. Wenger will get his pansies well stirred up for the game......NOT and we'll stroll to an embarrassing defeat. This is Arsenal we're talking about remember, when the chips are down....we don't turn up!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Actually, I'd disagree with that.

I think we DO turn up when the chips are down... it's when the chips are stacked in our favour, we become complacent and don't turn up.

I don't think we'll take West Brom lightly, and as a results, we'll win it.

We underestimated Norwich. Wenger pretty much admitted it.

Not so much when the chips are down, more like when the pressures on we dont turn up.
Its no co-incidence that our mini "winning run" started when we'd nothing left to play for (therefore no pressure) and ended as soon as we were in contention for 3rd place. (therefore pressure on)

As the pressure is on for us to beat the baggies to secure 3rd we'll probably get another draw......

We and Arsene are really lucky to hold on to 3rd place. At least for next game, I hope boss does some home work. It is very obvious that, we are missing Arteta work in the middle. All he has to do is ask Song or organize some one to do his role. Can't he just grasp that simple thing? Or is he just a stubborn/arrogant/naive. Even if we screw up this game, I do not see Tottanic getting result against Fulham.

Roy Hodgson's last game so maybe that gives WBA a little incentive, they can't really finish any higher than they already are.........no ex-spuds players in their team so maybe Jerome Thomas can have "a word"

look at all this negative bullshit... theres "no chance of spurs not beating villa"...ahhemm, did u see the result today? good job i dont listen to all this.....

we are a better team than WBA, whatever any of you think or how upset you are at the moment...its a fact, we are! therefore we've got a very good chance of beating them. :)

I'll be there - stupidly agreed to wearing whatever fancy dress someone else brings in
a win = 3rd
a draw = 4th
guess we would have jumped at that situation at several points this season

the upside must be the board and manager cannot fail to see a lot of changes must be made for us to win anyting
