PODOLSKI

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That´s good.
The other option would have been 2 deciding games against Düsseldorf.
There is a very big rivalry between Düsseldorf and Köln (opposite Rhein side), Poldi could get injured... :idea:

How do the Koln fans view Podolski? Is he something of a hero to them or as responsible as the rest for them getting relegated?

Cologne is relageted to the second division so you play two uselless pre season games but the trip to Cologne (German Gay capital) should be great maybe for some of you :wink:

Cheers, (still drunk from yesterdays party, home at six in the morning :mrgreen: :cheers: :barmaid: )

Thomas, when are we going to Koln? I tried to figure it out, but can't understand the FC Koln German forum (I speak Spanish, French, Russian and Italian... but no German) :banghead:
Hi SWLGooner,
could you give me a link which forum you are checking? They have not announced anything on the offical club side yet.
Cheers,
Thomas

He's pretty much a hero for Koln fans, they are retiring his number 10 shirt when he leaves. From Saturday;

"Danke Poldi"

Although things took a turn for the worse once relegation was confirmed;

Hi,
no fixed dates yet. Only the agrrement of two friendly games
http://www.rp-online.de/sport/fussball/ ... -1.2815013

So the money from the two games, estimated 3 Million Euros.

Cheers,
Thomas

[quote="Babatunde I think Podolski will prove a very good signing, especially if it's as a complement to RVP. Their personalities are a major clash though which is why I can't see then two playing together. That and they're both incredibly similar, their tendency to cut onto their left etc...you can't play two lefties up front, a right footer needs to play there also.

He's a very good player though Podolski.[/quote]

Podolski is decent but can't help but seeing him as a poor man's RVP?

You see baba we all post stuff that can come back to bite us on the arse,not just me :rubchin:

This is going to sound a bit odd, but he suits the new kit better then any of our current players. Not sure if that is just his chiselled Polish features playing tricks on my mind.

Think the navy ringlets accentuate his muscular arms...

I am getting a bit carried away here. :lol:

Anyone think he has 'hero' written all over him? Seems the type of player everyone is going to fucking love. Not sure why.
