As an example, on the Pat Rice thread I linked Brian Talbot to the Assistant Manager job. No foundation in this other than I saw him at a wedding last weekend. The next day it is mooted on Talk Sport...... The people ITK don't talk. That's why they are ITK, because they can be trusted with confidential information. 99% of twitter rumours and rumours in the press are pure unadulterated bollocks. I still reckon we are after Vertonghen. M'Vila is bollocks IMO.

Hilarious! It's Juan Mata all over again! Expect to see M'Villa turn out for Chelski and be outstanding. Hey ho we didn't need Mata though as we've got Songinho eh?
I find it fascinating what goldfish brains Arsenal fans have. Mugged off, hoodwinked and easily duped every summer. Gazidis and Wenger must be in stitches!

Here's another call: Podolski has been bought as RVP's replacement.
RVP will be sold once ST renewals are in, and then Podolski will be trumpeted as a class replacement.
Andre Pierre Gignac will also be signed to appease. A £20 mil profit will be recorded, and the AKBs, like with the Mata signing will claim "we could not compete with Chelski".

Wow. How on earth does any team like eg Newcastle, sign quality players like Cisse and Ben Arfa, and Cabaye with evil Citeh and Chelski around eh?

Yes but think about their outstanding value for money? Gervinho £11.5 mil, £70k a week. Ramsey £5 mil, £50k a week. Song on £60k a week.
Which manager can compete for Top 4 on a wage bill of a paltry £125 mil then?
Pardew or Redknapp? BEHAVE!

I made that very point last week after podolski's signing was confirmed cos there was Gooners everywhere almost wanking themselves to death proclaiming that wenger had seen the light and would be buying multiple players and buying them early too  That old buffoon will never change and anybody who thinks otherwise is a bigger dick than he is

Arsenal not close to signing M'Vila. Many complicating factors (CL place, fee, off-field issues etc). No way a done deal #afc #bbcsportsday

Junior Hoilet is available on a free still

i think we'll get both M'Vila and Vertonghen - why ? - M'Vila is french and young, and will go straight in to the first team.

Vertonghen, already plays with TV and will want European football.

so Germany's 6th leading all time scorer with 46/95 at just 26 years of age isn't a class replacement ???

i have to wonder what they're feeding you down the Lane sometimes - bitterness pie ? :rubchin:

In fairness, I think what Baba is saying is that Podolski is being talked of as an addition to Van Persie and therefore adds quality to our team, whereas he may end up replacing Van Persie, and we end up back at square 1 with Gervinho and Theo on the wings again :(

Also, to replace Van Persie you'd have to be top top class, and regardless of caps, Podolski still has much to prove before he can be considered a good replacement.

Anyway, that's being pessimistic. Lets hope Van Persie stays!

I know its the silly season and we will be rumoured to be signing everyone and anyone and that RVP will be linked with every top club but i really hope this won't happen - man utd in for van persie .I would be bloody gutted to see him go anywhere but to that lot would be just too much to bear!
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere but i couldnt see it.

why ? - because you don't rate Germany or something ?

would he be proved if he was Italy, France or Holland's 6th all time scorer ?

c'mon i know people are anti-wenger & anti-board but you do have to give them credit for signing an already proven goalscorer here at least, don't you ?

and as far as i know, he was bought to play in the middle with RVP behind him, so we may well see walnutt and forehead on each wing anyway. or Ox.
