Netherlands preliminary EURO squad

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

3rd place behind Germany and Denmark I hope. But actually I guess this team will win.

On a more serious note, I'm surprised players like Van Wolfswinkel or Bas Dost are not in the squad.

Yeah but only van der Wiel will make the final squad. Anita is a great player but I doubt he will make it because of the other options.Siem de Jong is just not good enough and Cilessen is just there because vM wanted to see him in training. Only van der Wiel but as he will leave Ajax this summer there will be no player from Ajax in the final squad :(

It's not certain that he will leave Ajax. He looked to be going to Valencia, but a few weeks ago he said he wasn't so sure about that anymore. He's now considering to stay at Ajax.

I think Van der Wiel could be a good reinforcement for Arsenal. Read somewhere that Sagna could be out for six months. I don't know if that's true, but if it is, we need a new right back...

I read Roma might buy him now (they already took Stekelenburg from us). I don't really understand why you would leave for a club like Roma (considering that the Serie A isn't the best league either) but it's not too unlikely.
Of course if he decides to stay and to sign a new contract I'll be more than happy with that and might favor the Netherlands 8)

And yes I think he would be a good signing for Arsenal but somehow nobody wants him anymore
