Abiding memories of this season

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

My abiding memory will be of how long and painful this season as a whole has been.  :banghead: :banghead:

Appearing on TalkSport to discuss the pros and cons of the Wenger Out Banner with my good friends Adrian Durham and Darren Gough.

=============

The Forum being shut down due to offensive (but accruate) threads about Wenger.

Positives:
- RvP
- Beating Spurs 5-2
- 5-3 at Stamford Bridge
- Dortmund away, our first away game since the humiliation at Old Trafford. Will never forget the reaction from the Arsenal crowd when Van Persie scored.
- I can finally say I saw Thierry Henry play for us (unfortunately we lost 4-0 :banghead:)

Negatives:
- Obviously that game in Manchester...
- Milan away (just the game, pre-match atmosphere was great)
- All those silly defeats against the likes of Blackburn, Wigan and Swansea

I recall that. Eloquence personified and a credit to a cause.
Which thread is it on? For old times sake.

Positives
1. 5-3 at the Bridge
2. comeback against the scum, even if we finish below them it knocked them down a few pegs
3. 2-1 at anfield and me falling down the stairs when RVP got the winner :barscarf:

Negatives
1. Old Trafford
2. The feeling of Deja Vu that envelopes every season :(
3. Take your pick of the rest

There's a couple :-

Not only the 5-3 win v The Chavs, but the great walk alongside members of the tennis clique, along the King's Road, running a gauntlet of hate, whilst we gave it large to the chav wankers, on the walk upto Putney Bridge, a great hour that was.

Seeing Flash, finally get off his arse from his armchair and meeting him at Norwich on a balmy November Saturday and winning of course. (not forgetting Nick as drunk as someone can ever be on that day)

But this season has been a joke, haven't looked forward to going to the souless bowl at all, hence why I sold most of my tickets on the exchange.

i will remember the fact that Wenger totally fucked everything up pre season by not having a plan B with regards to Nasri and Fabregas (the previous seasons had shown that when Fab was out we struggled)

The 8-2 defeat at Man Utd , the manager should have gone then.

positives

Chelsea away , spuds at home especially when 2 down and going 13 points behind.

overall so disapponting , to be out of the league after 5 games

Positives

Chelsea Away, immense day even if i missed the 1st 15 minutes due to the tubes being down!
Spuds at home, don't think i need to say anything about that one
Villa Away - The atmosphere once Yossi scored the winner was fantastic & Liverpool away.
Milan at home - Unfortunately though a little too late.

Negatives

Utd Away, although the atmosphere was something to be proud of that day the performance was not.
Sunderland Away - How we whimpered out of the FA Cup on a freezing day was embarrasing.
Stupid defeats to Blackburn, Wigan, Swansea and the list goes on!

flash gunner wrote:I can't forget the disgrace of the 8-2 defeat at old trafford. To lose by that margin to a once rival team and our worst defeat in 115 years is an absolute disgrace and if Wenger had any decency he would have walked 10 minutes after the full time whistle.

There have been the odd good time this season but very few and far between the above defeat will not leave me for a long long time
Spot on Flash, this should have spelt the end for Wenger.
