Predictable
What's your problem here Sammy?
You put an opinion, I disagreed with it, and explained why. No insults used in doing so.
Feel free to argue why it is a freak show but don't be put out that I have a different opinion.
Opinions are split on this in the boxing world too

Re: Haye and Chisora to fight
Without a doubt the events in germany were staged for what we will see in july.
The show on the whole should be good, and really hoping they manage to get a burns vs mitchell fight on the bill, or even a mitchell vs katsidis 2. Povetkin on the bill was a smart move too.
As for the "big" main event. Wouldnt go as far as others but it is a bit of a joke, but fact is do I want to see the fight? Hell yeah i do. And anyone who says differently is lying (in my opinion
).
The fact is Chisora has done nothing to deserve the type of fight he's been getting. Yes he did very well against Vitali, but that has to go down as the worst Vitali performance in years and he did look his a =ge in that fight, but still won easily. Del Boy lost to tyson fury for feck sake, who in my opinion is the most overrated boxer in britain at the moment mainly due to the nationwide coverage he gets on channel 5.
Haye on the other hand almost single handedly turned the nation totally off boxing, he is the sole reason sky no longer do ppv events and have pretty much turned their backs on the sport. Due to the two farses of his they aired on ppv. Forget how bad he was against Wladimir and just remember that absolute joke of a fight against fraudly. Yes he won but for two bloody he didnt throw a punch himself, and lets be honest beating fraudly wasnt exactly the hardest of victories to acheive....and then we lead on to the most ppv buys ever on sky to be served up with a pathetic performance, and utterly embarrasing excuse for the loss. With all the mouth he gave in the build up he ended up looking stupid. And now he looks even worse.
The hype will sell it. And it all boils down to money. And its got everyone talking about it too. Fact is a few months back 99.9% of the country had never heard of Chisora, a now he's front page news. Warren has to be credited for puuling off such a feat with such an average boxer.
As for the fight dont give Chisora a chance. Id go for Haye on points or late stoppage. Even with the amount of time out of the ring for Haye he's by far the more talented of the two.
David Haye though should feel embarrased that he's in this senario, because all his talk has now made him look like a proper mug! And Chis needs to realise that playing the british "mike tyson" doesnt work.

Now dont get me wrong I dont condone what happened, but lets be realistic. Now dont get me wrong Im not a massive fan of Adam Booth but he did talk some sense at the press conference in regards to all the hype surrounding what happened in germany.Top Londoner wrote:In my opinion it is sadly indicative of what sportsmen represent nowadays.
Money speaks and the money in sport today is brash and cheap, just like some the sportsmen it has afforded lavish lifestyles.
Their behaviour was inappropiate at best, and I think that rather like Dwayne Chambers, they should have forfeited any right to make more money from their chosen sport. Different scenarios granted, but they have brought sport into disrepute and therefore, should suffer harsh consequences.
When society has gone the way of, soap drama's, can't sing, dance, cook etc etc etc on our tv's, then I think that most people who enjoy that kind of stuff would find it acceptable to behave in this way.
Like I said, this is my opinion. FACT
Go straight to 32.08 of the press conference...dont buy his hype on the fight but on the reaction to the "brawl" i think he's spot on...its boxing, and was minor in regards to the history of the sport.

Fair point, but they both lack class in my opinion. Prize fighter, boxer or brawler.northbankbren wrote:Now dont get me wrong I dont condone what happened, but lets be realistic. Of worry to me is that Lamont Peterson fought Amir Khan, to paraphrase Peterson's publicist, "With a testosterone capsule inadvertently embedded in his thigh!"
How did it just slip in there?
Their rematch is cancelled.

My mate was done for drink driving. He had 15 pints of Ale inadvertently embedded in his stomach.QuartzGooner wrote:Of worry to me is that Lamont Peterson fought Amir Khan, to paraphrase Peterson's publicist, "With a testosterone capsule inadvertently embedded in his thigh!"

I think that all aspects of this reflects badly on british society as a whole.

Why does David Haye want to fight the ghost hunter bloke off channel 5 anyway?

Re: Haye and Chisora to fight
said at the time when they had there handbag spat, this is a set up by frank warren, both Haye and Chisora were whipped by the klits, and both careers were over and in tatters
so Warren staged some mock up farce, and surprise, surprise has now promoted this total nonsense, which will now be on his own new TV boxing channel - Box nation at £10
Warren is the Vince McMahon of the boxing world,
