A PLEA

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A PLEA

Post by augie »

At the risk of a lambasting on here (not that something like that would ever worry me) can I make a sincere genuine plea to the Gooners who are going to the game tomorrow...............if things go tits up and the worst case scenario actually transpires (that we fail to win and maybe miss out on top 4) can you guys finally really really let fly at the manager and any of the board members that might be at the game (although if swansea game is anything to go by it is unlikely any of those c**ts will make the effort to attend  :x ) and let them know that this groundhog day bullshit is not acceptable to us fans ? Obviously we all hope that we will win the game and secure 3rd place but being honest I am very doubtful that will happen and I am expecting us to be out of next seasons champs league by next saturday night at the latest  If this occurs then something or somebody needs to wake the people up that run our club and we certainly cannot depend on the media or manager to do this so the onus will fall on the fans tomorrow (cos it is our last game of season) to make that happen.

I know that there is a match thread already but I fear this plea will be lost in the middle of that thread (11 pages already  ) but if the mods want to delete it/move it feel free to do so 8)

It'll be interesting to know whether SWL/frankbutcher, etc. are planning to take the banner along.

I'm not advocating that they do, but if they're planning to let Wenger know they think he should leave this summer, then they're kind of running out of time with it being the last game of the season and all... :?

The banner got an airing of the she wore a yellow ribbon Facebook page last night and upset a fair few in the process. I don't see our fans turning at all, the opportunity was there earlier this season and it wasn't taken. It will take a mid table finish before I see any changes at all because sadly the overwhelming majority are still blindly following dear leader.

I considered merging this into the match thread, but I think it has the potential to have wider scope than that, so I've left it here to see how it develops first.

If it ends up as a 'West Brom match thread 2' then obviously it'll have to be moved. 8)

I think we're more likely to see the Real Fans Have Patience banner than we are seeing a protest

Anyway we need to keep Arsene happy because his contract is up in 2 years and we all want him to renew now don't we?

It would be brilliant if that banner was taken tomorrow, any bad publicity for Dear Liar is a good thing. The Blackburn fans who criticised Kean (and were chastised for it by politically correct, middle-class *word censored*) turned out to be right. But yeah we've said this all season and the thing is still folded up.

I think thats what came into critisism at blackburn- more the pathetic running up to kean at the end of matches, threatening him and acting like 12 year-old council house chavs trying to appear threatening. the actual protesting against venkys I have respect for, clubs shouldn't be owned by poultry companies but by responsible people that know what they're fucking doing.
And there was defintley sign of the crowd turning away at blackburn this season, but I can't see it happening now. Even a lot of the anti-wenger fans still have the hope he'll strengthen in june/july. they're in a state of denial and it will take another shit start to realise that. Hopefully we don't see it and we win the league 8)

I don't mean confronting Kean, I mean the banners and the general swearing at him. I would love for that to happen to Wenger on a large scale. In the long run it would help the club by getting rid of this cretin once and for all.

Interesting that someone who lives in Ireland and is not going to the game is asking those that are going to the game to voice his opinion for him from the comfort of his laptop. Surely if you were that bothered you'd do so yourself?
