If rvp has any brains then he will wait until late july at the earliest to discuss his future - if he is ambitious then he should want to see those ambitions matched in the transfer market in the next 2 months or so and if he see's a similar summer to the past 3 or 4 then he should start packing his suitcases :(

All along people have said that he wont join citeeh but I am wondering if that is still the case - maybe them winning the league wouldnt be a deciding factor in him going there but am wondering if talking to clichy, kol and lesbo and seeing their absolute joy might convince him to link up with his friends again where he stands a great chance of winning medals :rubchin:

When he makes his decision, we will react accordingly - as both a club and as supporters. As the latter, we have to remember no player is bigger than the club. As the former, we have to make smart re-investment if he decides to leave.
ahhh...you still believe. that's nice.

Babatunde - where did the mighty Spurs finish then?

Wenger has answered the critics yet again - that is why he has been here for 16 years.

Is anyone really believing there have been no talks between the club and RVP's people?Get fucking real.We heard the same shit from the club last year that there had been no talks with Cesc and Nasri. He will go we are just trying to drag it out till ST's have been renewed. It happens every year at Arsenal. We are a selling club

But it is true, no player is bigger than the club.

Not Wright, Vieira or Henry.

But that only makes sense if we re-invest rather than saying Podolski alone will replace RvP.

No player is bigger than the club and QG no manager is either.Yet the AKB's keep telling us if Wenger goes the club will fall apart and no one else could ever manager us :banghead:

Yeah but so many fans know that if Wenger goes we can find a whole load of managers to replace him.
But I think Wenger stays at least until his contract finishes 2014.

As for RvP I have no idea, his interview today seemed like he was leaving, and you have to think that Tevez and Balotelli could leave City, and Real Madrid seems like an option too if media reports are to be believed.

But maybe RvP and family are settled in London, and a big singing on bonus will keep him with us.

RVP said more or less the exact same thing when picking up his player of the year trophy at the FWA. I don't think anyone apart from Robin, his agent and maybe his missus know exactly what's going to happen and it's not worth worrying about until we know one way or the other.

By the way Reb, don't mind Resident Plastic. I think he's 'related' to Red Member and could possibly be sharing the same brain cell.

Yes, yes.

The fail was for his opening sentence. The post was 1 1/2 hours after the match.
The rest of the post was not relevant to my comment.
I was being faceitious.

Sadly I thought that. As I have said for a while he was the only thing we had worth while. If he does go we are fooked beyond belief.
Best player in the Prem decided to leave. Thats is much worse then losing 8v2 to United.
Shows that the board and the manager do not have winning in their blood.
Compared to Cesc and Nasri this is our supernova.
THE END FOR WENGER but he will stay sadly very sadly

He's basically just said he's leaving
He's off
