true, but they finished a very distant sixth.kite wrote:
Chelsea might win the CL you know?
i think Bayern at home will beat them - what with the four suspensions too.
its a lose lose that game for us - chavs first London club to win the European Cup, or spuds back in the ECL with all the financial benefit and prestige

Re: It's all about the money!!!
We finished NINETEEN points behind the top 2 how has the gap closed? And we all know City and United will strength
And dont complain about City buying it.We have a man who is richer than Abramovich as our second biggest shareholder but we dont want his money. Thanks Kroenke Hill-Wood and Fisman you *word censored*

I dont mind the Spuds finishing 4th as they have no chance of winning it but i never ever what to see another London team win it especially one with Terry Cashley Lumpard and Dogbreath

They wil have to play a qualifier first - without Modric, Adebayor and Bale possibly - they might get someone tricky like Young Boys of Berne again.clockender1 wrote:true, but they finished a very distant sixth.kite wrote:

The Arsenal have always been a Rich Club, we did we get the money to build an Art Deco Stadium in the 1930(s) and win Back to Back Titles.
We have 2 billonaries Owners over The Arsenal, time they splashed the club

Re: It's all about the money!!!
next season, will be same old - few decent wins, a good fair share of defeats, a few injuries and a sqaud not capable of winning the PL or CL
so fucking predictable, see ya next May when we will be fighting out 3rd and 4th with Tottenham and Chelsea

United have splashed the chas aswell this century, a fact that is forgotten by their fans. They have broken the £50m mark a few times and have regularly spent more than £30m. Like it or not, football is a money game now and we have to adapt or get left behind. We have plenty of money but wont fucking spend it.

Re: It's all about the money!!!
This argument is so tiresome.
The United team costs more than City today, they have broken the British transfer record more times than any in the last 20 years.
To win now you have to spend big, they all do it.

If Kroenke really had Arsenal at heart he would invite Usmanov on to the board. You will never win nothing with £5-8m signings
Today Kroenke Gazidis and Wenger all dodged a bullet.Next season will be same old same old.Or worse if RVP leaves

Re: It's all about the money!!!
The saddest part of this whole saga is that if Kroenke were to invest (minimully(sp..) in my opinion) we could have a very good squad if we also shift the "wasters" out. I haven't worked a day in football nor finance, but surely if he invests about 100M we could be right up there with the best of Europe? I think that the Arsenal brand is very marketable(not necessarily a good thing) and whoever invests that amount would be able to recoup their investment?
Or am I just being a dumb-ass

It is entirely possible that the two things are not mutually exclusive, Mega!!MegaGooner wrote:The saddest part of this whole saga is that if Kroenke were to invest (minimully(sp..) in my opinion) we could have a very good squad if we also shift the "wasters" out. Re: It's all about the money!!!
Plenty more of this on the Usmanov thread.
There is no certainty that Usmanov would just start splashing cash around.
He might, might not.
What is to stop him giving us a load of cash right now?
Nothing, if he keeps within Fair Play guidelines.
I am all for more spending on players but I am not certain a cash injection is the main priority, I think coaching and organisation on the pitch are the key things, along with selling off the non performers.

We can generate our own cash and do year on year, just look at our profits that we make. It just isnt spent as we all know.QuartzGooner wrote:Plenty more of this on the Usmanov thread.
