yes fair point about the 19 points but you have to take into account the poor start to the season.
from about October we have shown great mental strength to almost compete with these 2 great Manchester clubs.

Yeah youre right you do have to take the poor start to the season and that was one mans fault and this is why we couldnt compete and wont again next year

AFC

worst moment - being beaten 2-1 at WHL so soon after the mauling at OT
best moment - john terry face down on the stamford bridge pitch as RVP powers past him

NON AFC

worst moment - hearing about gary speed
best momen - imagining the look on platini's face as his dream of a MANUFACTURED la liga champs league final was destroyed

4 out of 10 for me -

Every season is groundhog day in our club - same clueless tactics, same transfer policies (sell quality & replace with average), same clueless arrogant manager, same money grabbing and money motivated w*****s running our club and the same type of squad that is lightweight in numbers and quality  Buying the forehand symbolises our embrace for sub-standard shite and it seems to have gone unmentioned that he will be of to the acn for a month again this season  Next season looks for all the world to be more of the same as we offer new contracts to djouru, song and walnut who epitomise everything that is average about our playing staff  That we came 3rd is merely a confirmation of how poor a league it was this season

The positive has to be rvp showing what quality he has when he stays fit - I will admit that I would have sold him last summer due to his never ending injuries but this yet he turned all that on it's head and carried the team practically single-handidly to 3rd place 8)
Arteta has been a good signing too, the ox has looked promising and kos has been outstanding. The signing of podolski, on paper at least, seems a very good deal and badly needed but on his own will not be enough

You cant keep talking about the poor start to the season when it was self-inflicted by Wenger it was no one else's fault. He knew Cesc and Nasri were going but had no one lined up

Can you imagine where we would have finished if RVP had got injured. How Wenger could play Russian roulette with only one genuine striker at the club was madness.Yes he got away with it but why take such a massive risk

Last year 12 points behind the champions this year 19 last year 3 pts behind the 2nd team this year 19.Only Stevie Wonder would see that as progress

the final points total has nothing to do with it.

It is all about where you finish - ask a Man utd supporter today.
Fact is we finished 3rd and 1st in London.

We were never going to win the league this season regardless of what happened in the summer. We finished above a Chelsea team who have spent £100m+ in the last season and above the scum who were at one stage on the verge of going 13 points above us. If people had offered 3rd at the start of the season everyone on this board would have taken it
I agree that we were never really going to win the League this season, so if this was all about marks out of ten for the league position then 8 is probably a worthy score. However, our performance in the Cups was pathetic and that's why I'd struggle to give it more than 5 or 6 out of ten - surely if you think you can win a cup you focus on it

A lot of the problems all stemmed from that disasterous transfer window - we refused to sign another striker and therefore we had no back-up for RvP. In the Beer Cup our young midfielders were outstanding but with Chamakh and Park up front we could play till midnight against City and not score. The FA Cup and CL defeats were just too pathetic for words also

Best - City & Milan @ Home - Shows we have the ability and it was when the stadium felt like home.
Worst - 8-2
Best Player - Arteta, Kos & RVP
